Jonathan Scott is celebrating the 2-year anniversary of his engagement to fiancée Zooey Deschanel despite recently admitting they haven’t thought much about their future wedding.
On Aug. 13, Scott took to Instagram to share pictures of himself and Deschanel together, celebrating the day he asked her to be his wife.
“Oh how time flies when you’re in love. 🥰,” Scott captioned the post. “Aug 13th, 2023…I put a 💍 on that finger. Guess we should figure out this (wedding). Love you @zooeydeschanel.”
The celebration of the special day comes after the couple talked about the details of their future wedding, or lack thereof, in an interview with People.
Scott said that they haven’t started planning their wedding, despite their 2-year engagement because “we’ve just been having so much fun traveling with the kids and filming this show and stuff,” Jonathan told People.

“So no, we have not actually made any plans yet,” he continued.
However, despite not having any concrete plans for their big day, Scott and Deschanel are in agreement on the vibe of their special day whenever it should take place.
“Whatever we do, it has to be meaningful to us,” Scott told People, “and we want to gather our friends and family and have a good time. We want to keep it very, very intimate.”
Deschanel also celebrated their engagement anniversary with a post of her own.
“I love him. Like… a lot,” she wrote in the caption. “Happy Anniversary.”
Scott responded back in the comments, writing, “Love you back….like a LOT.”
Scott popped the question while they were visiting Edinburgh Castle in Scotland with a uniquely colorful diamond ring. Deschanel’s kids, whom she shares with her ex-hsuabnd Jacob Pechenik, were also included in the special day.
As People reports, Elsie and Charlie, held up a sign that read “Zooey, will you marry me?”
The couple had been dating since 2019 after meeting during an episode of “Carpool Karaoke” in August of that year.
