“Not only did she come back, but the chaos came back with her.”
Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is sharing the secret to her successful 22-year marriage to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. and so many others agree.
And believe it or not, it’s a simple one.
In a conversation with Jenna Bush Hager and her “Jenna and Friends” co-host comedian Tiffany Haddish, Gellar was praised for her decades long marriage.
After marveling over how long Gellar and Prinze have been able to keep their Hollywood-It couple status, Hager and Haddish asked what their “secret” was.
While some married couples swear by sleeping in separate beds, Gellar said she and Prinze opt for a different type of separation.
According to Gellar, the secret to their long-lasting marriage is separate bathrooms.
“That's it?” Hager asked. “It's that simple.”
Haddish added that she assumed Gellar was going to say that they sleep in separate beds.

“I was thinking it was like the ‘Lucy and Ricky’ thing,” referring to the classic TV sitcom, I Love Lucy, “where you have you both have, like, twin beds,” Haddish explained.

“And then when y'all want to get together, you push your beds together, and when you want to be a part.”
Gellar said she’s never considered separate beds, but admitted she liked the idea.
According to People, Gellar and Prinze met on the set of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997. The pair were friends for years before their platonic relationship turned romantic.
In 2002, the couple wed before welcoming two children into the world, 15-year-old Charlotte and 12-year-old Rocky.
