“She is everything I ever was as a little girl but ten million times better.”
If you were wondering what shows Americans are streaming the most in 2025, then cue the drum roll.
On July 14, Nielsen — a global market research firm — released its streaming ratings for the first half of 2025, from January through June, and one of your kids’ favorite TV shows was sitting firmly at the top.
That show was “Bluey” and it amassed 25.06 billion minutes of viewing so far this year, per Nielsen.

“Thanks for watching! #Bluey has topped Nielsen's ranking for the first half of 2025 with over 25 Billion minutes watched on Disney+!” the show wrote in a Facebook post, published July 14.
Fans of the show took to the comment section to share their excitement — albeit without surprise.
“That’s heartening as it means American littlies are getting a dose of kindness, wonder, humor and caring family messages that will help in a world of shall we say ‘less so’ news and media coverage,” one fan wrote.
“I think my son and I have watched atleast 1 billion of these hours,” another fan joked.
Other Facebook users expressed their desire for more episodes in the near future.
“Sure wish we had newer episodes! We have memorized them all lol,” a third fan commented.
“Grey’s Anatomy” (22.55 billion), “NCIS” (19.12 billion), “Family Guy” (19.07 billion) and “Bob’s Burgers” (17.1 billion) rounded out the top-five, according to Nielsen’s ratings.
Of those five, “Bluey” has the smallest library with 154 episodes — most of which are no more than 10 minutes long.
For reference, “Grey’s Anatomy” has a library of 449 episodes, while “NCIS” and “Family Guy” each boast more than 450 episodes. “Bob’s Burgers” has 286 episodes, per Nielsen.
Unlike “Bluey,” episodes of those four shows typically run anywhere from 20 minutes to a full hour.
Another kids’ favorite, “Spongebob Squarepants,” ranked sixth in the first half of 2025 and missed the top-five by just 500 million minutes, per Nielsen.
‘Bluey’ could become most-streamed TV show two years in a row
“Bluey”s ratings are hardly a surprise — especially among those with kids who watch it constantly.
Available to stream on Disney+, “Bluey” finished 2024 as the most-streamed TV show with 55.62 billion minutes of viewing, according to last year’s Nielsen ratings.
It came close to breaking the record, which was set by “Suits” in 2023 with 57.7 billion minutes. The record was previously held by “The Office,” according to Variety.
“Bluey” has now appeared in Nielsen’s streaming ratings for 143 straight weeks dating back to October 2022, per The Hollywood Reporter.
While it’s not on pace to match its ratings from 2024, it’s looking more likely that it retains its spot at the top of the list for the second year in a row.
But fans are getting anxious for new installments of their kids’ favorite show.
“Bluey,” which premiered in Australia in 2018 before making its international debut on Disney Junior, released its most recent episode, “Surprise!” on April 21 — the 50th episode of “Bluey's” third season.
Twenty minisodes have since been released in three parts — one in June 2024, one in October and the other in December — according to the show’s official website.
Also in December, “Bluey” announced that its first-ever animated feature film is in the works and currently scheduled for a 2027 release in theatres worldwide.

“I’ve always thought ‘Bluey’ deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together,” Bluey creator Joe Brumm said of the new project, per the release.
