Plemons shares two sons, Ennis, 7, and James, 4, with his wife, actress Kirsten Dunst.
Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, can always lean on her stepdaughter, Ireland Baldwin.
During an Oct. 7 appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast with host Amanda Hirsch, Hilaria Baldwin opened up about the strong relationship she has with Alec’s eldest daughter Ireland.
After all, Hilaria and Ireland do have kids the same age — with Hilaria last giving birth in September 2022 and Ireland welcoming her first child in May 2023.
When asked if Ireland calls her for parenting advice, Hilaria said they swap parenting advice often.

"Listen, I call her for advice. That was like the really interesting thing," she said on the podcast. “In so many ways, I’m like leaning to her and be like, ‘Well, what do you think about this?’”
“I learn from her,” she added. “I’d like to think that she learns a little bit from me.”
Hilaria went on to praise her stepdaughter for how strong her motherly instincts are — which is something Hilaria couldn’t say for herself when she was raising her first daughter 12 years ago.
"I don’t know how you were when your first was born, but I was like, really…didn’t know what I was doing,” she told Hirsch. “And I knew that I didn’t know what I was doing, so I was really insecure."

"But that’s the kind of new mom I was. Whereas Ireland was like, ‘Boom, boom, I got this,’” she added. “She’s just so confident. And her instincts are so good, where I had to learn to trust myself a little bit.”
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin started dating in 2011 — nine years after his divorce fromKim Basinger (Ireland’s mom) was finalized — and tied the knot the following year, according to Today.com.
The couple have since welcomed seven children together, including Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 5, María, 4, and Ilaria, 2, per People.
Hilaria Baldwin opens up about Ireland Baldwin’s Instagram tribute
On Sept. 4, Ireland Baldwin shared a viral (and lengthy) Instagram post about her stepmom.
While Ireland says she doesn’t post about Hilaria (or any of her family members) much, she wanted to give her fans and followers a chance to know Hilaria the way she has known for the past two decades.
“Hilaria is the reason I am able to have the close relationship with my father that I do. She is the reason I get to have siblings/a big family that I’ve always wanted,” Ireland wrote in the caption.

“She has always respected me, accepted my flaws, embraced me, and has always shown me kindness. I met her as a teenager and I needed her as an example. I still very much look up to her now,” she added.
Ireland credited Hilaria for saving her dad’s life and giving him the “forgiveness and kindness” he needed.
“I am so proud of her for doing DWTS and I CANNOT wait to cheer her a** on. She deserves this!” she added. “It’s not my place to share the ins and outs, but this woman is a gem and deserves all the love.”
While talking to Hirsch on Oct. 7, Hilaria opened up about the moment she read the post for the first time.
She recalled Ireland asking her for a photo of the two of them together, but wasn’t sure why she needed it — until she got a text from several friends asking if she had read what Ireland posted.
That’s when she saw the photo on Ireland’s Instagram — and it brought her to tears.
“It was such a nice gift because Ireland really knows me and Ireland has really seen me and Ireland has seen how much I care about her dad and her family,” she told Hirsch.
Hilaria went on to admit that if it weren’t for her close relationship with Ireland, she never would’ve married Alec — out of respect for the family and not wanting to impede on their family dynamic.

“I was also very lucky that Ireland was extraordinarily welcoming of me right at the beginning,” she said.
