The last thing I want is to be remembered as “the guy who gives out the worst Halloween candy.”
Jason Kelce is getting in the spooky spirit — even if it’s at his daughters’ expense.
The 37-year-old retired NFL player took to the Oct. 29 episode of his “New Heights” podcast with his future Hall of Fame brother Travis Kelce to open up about his plans for the Halloween season.
And it definitely involves scaring kids if he sees an opportunity to do so.
“Scaring kids is important. I firmly believe that,” Jason said after revealing that his father, Ed Kelce, was also a big believer in scaring people growing up.
Travis laughed at the thought of his older brother making a kid cry on Halloween, but Jason clarified that it doesn’t have to involve tears.
“I mean, it doesn’t have to cry. It could just be like a little, ‘UGH,’” he said while imitating the sound we’ve all made after getting scared.

“I think it’s a good thing to do these days,” Jason added.
Jason, of course, shares four daughters — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, born in March — with his wife and fellow podcaster Kylie Kelce, whom he has been married to since 2018, per Today.com.
Jason Kelce reveals his and his daughters Halloween costumes this year
Elsewhere in the Oct. 29 podcast episode, Jason and Travis revealed their thoughts on Halloween costumes and how they go about choosing one each year.
And both brothers agreed that the “stupider” you look, the better.
“I’m all about looking stupid at this point,” Travis said, adding that he doesn’t dress up on Halloween “to be cool” and has more fun when he can “laugh at the costume” due to “how obnoxious or how silly it is.”

While Jason prefers anything that’s nostalgic to the 80s or 90s, he ultimately leaves it up to his kids.
“For me, my costumes now are just essentially what my kids want to wear,” he said. “Like I’m Kristoff this year just because that’s what Ellie, Wy and Bennie — they’re all going as Elsa.”
“So I feel like in your 30s, once you start having kids, you don’t get to choose anymore,” he added. “You get lumped in with the kids.
As for Jason Kelce’s wife, he stopped short of revealing her costume and clarified that it would be revealed at a later date.
Jason’s comment comes six days after Kylie took to her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast to joke that they “might just have three Elsas” this year.

Kylie has also been vocal about her disdain for themed family costumes after some not-so-ideal experiences in the past, which included her daughter ruining their costume with a last-minute change.
