“You are truly setting an example for them with every move you make, every word you say.”
Jenna Bush Hager knew she was embarrassing her child, but she couldn’t help it.
The 43-year-old mom of three recently enjoyed a “night out” with her husband, Henry Chase Hager, and their two daughters Mila, 12, and Poppy, 9, at a Gracie Abrams concert at Madison Square Garden.
Bush Hager opened up about the emotional night on the July 30 episode of “Today with Jenna & Friends.”

While she and her family had “so much fun,” Bush Hager said there was one point during the concert that she was brought to tears.
“My oldest is going into middle school,” she explained on the show. “And just seeing how excited they were for (Abrams), I started crying.”
“Think about how embarrassing this is as a child,” Bush Hager joked.
It wasn’t until her husband got up to grab a few Sprites that she realized something.
“I was thinking, like, this could be the last time my seventh grader is cool sitting next to her mom at a concert,” Bush Hager revealed.
“In a few years, she’s going to be going with her buddies and not mommy,” she added.
When Chase Hager returned to his seat, he saw that his wife was crying and asked, “Are you crying again?”
Not long after, Bush Hager said her daughter held her hand — which caused her husband to jokingly lean over and say, “Don’t cry!”
She went on to admit that “time is going so fast” as she realized that these little moments won’t last forever.
Bush Hager recently celebrated daughter’s 12th birthday
Bush Hager’s emotional night comes more than three months after she took to Instagram to celebrate Mila’s 12th birthday.
“Twelve years of our darling girl--Mila we LOVE all of who you are: all heart, spirit and humor. You burrata, cat-loving, Grays Anatomy queen! We love you so!” she wrote in the caption.
The talk show host welcomed her firstborn on April 13, 2013 — five years after she married Chase Hager at her family's Crawford, Texas ranch, per NBC.
The couple went on to welcome Poppy in August 2015 followed by their son Hal four years later.
On May 9, one day before celebrating their 17-year wedding anniversary, Bush Hager wished her husband a “happiest” 47th birthday — which also fell on May 10.
