That camping trip your family still talks about? Science says it’s worth more than any toy under the tree.
Kelly Clarkson’s children receive plenty of attention from their Grammy-winning mom.
The 43-year-old “Since U Been Gone” singer shared a rare parenting update about her two children during a “Fan Q&A” video uploaded to her “The Kelly Clarkson Show” YouTube page.
In it, Clarkson revealed what the trio did on New Year’s Day.
“I went hiking,” she said at the beginning of the video. “My kids and I, on New Year’s Day, actually walked the beach together and hiked together. It was nice.”

Clarkson was later asked, “What is the one thing you do every day that brings you joy?” — and she gave the most mom response of all-time.
“Snuggle,” she said. “My kids, look — they’re 9 and 11, they’re that special little fun stage where they can wipe their own behinds, but they’re still small enough to love cuddling and love snuggling.”
She went on to reveal that she recently opened up to the idea of co-sleeping with her kids.
“There’s been a lot for our family recently. So, I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit,” she added. “So, it’s my two dogs, my two kids and me. It’s a lot.”
Clarkson described the bonding that happens during those moments as “really special.”
“The conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So, that’s probably my favorite time of day,” she concluded.
Kelly Clarkson shares two kids with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock

The rare comments come five months after Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, died following a three-year battle with cancer.
His death was announced on Aug. 7. He was 48.
The former couple, who met in 2006 and tied the knot in 2014, share two kids together — daughter River Rose, 12, and son Remington Alexander, 9 — according to NBC News.

Following Brandon Blackstock’s death, a source told People that Clarkson was “devastated” for her kids.
“When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their sake,” they said. “Kelly has always tried to keep things classy. It became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well.”
According to Clarkson, bedtime has always been a sacred time for her and her kids.
"I ask my kids every night when we're snuggling and I put them to bed, 'Are you happy? And if you're not, what could make you happier?' " Clarkson said in an interview with People following her divorce.
“A lot of times it would be like, 'I'm just really sad. I wish Mommy and Daddy were in the same house.' They're really honest about it. I'm raising that kind of individual,” she added.
