"I’m just trying to raise smart, polite humans who know how to get where they’re going."
Ms. Rachel has millions of fans around the world — but her daughter isn’t always impressed.
The 42-year-old YouTube sensation, whose real name is Rachel Accurso, entertains and educates kids on the daily with her videos, songs and Netflix show, which recently debuted its second season.
She even brings that personality home to entertain her own kids — though it doesn’t always work.

On Sept. 4, Ms. Rachel took to Instagram to make an “embarrassing” confession about a recent mishap she experienced while traveling with her husband, Aron Accurso, and their two kids.
The couple share a 7-year-old son, Thomas, and newborn daughter Susannah, according to “Today.”
“I have a confession. This is embarrassing to admit,” she began the Sept. 4 video.
Ms. Rachel goes on to explain how her family of four recently took a nearly four-hour plane ride with their kids. And, like most parents would, Ms. Rachel spent most of that trip singing songs to her newborn.
For little Susie, that meant getting what most kids would dream of — a live taping of “Ms. Rachel.”
“I sang so many songs to Susie for two hours,” she said in the clip. “I did the Ms. Rachel live show for two hours. Daddy was amazing. He did the ‘Mr. Aron’ live show.”
For context, Ms. Rachel’s husband is a singer and composer who frequently appears on “Ms. Rachel” as Mr. Aron, per “Today.”
Ms. Rachel’s live efforts weren’t enough to satisfy her daughter
When the couple’s tactics weren’t working on the plane, Ms. Rachel had to resort to the unthinkable.
“I had to put on the real show,” she admitted with a big sigh.
“Yeah, I had to put on baby learning for my own baby on the plane… And she liked it much better than the live show,” she continued.
Ms. Rachel then joked that the lady next to her on the plane mentioned how “transfixed” Susie was on the show — further implying that the live show simply wasn’t enough to please her newborn baby.
“This is genuinely so hilarious and iconic,” one Instagram user commented under the post.
“It’s like when my baby wouldn’t sleep. Do you know who I am baby? Do you??!!” another wrote.
Ms. Rachel’s confession proves that it doesn’t matter who you are — traveling with kids is never easy.
According to Jennifer Lee Loy, a former flight attendant, bringing a device with your child’s favorite shows and an activity or book that they haven’t tried before is a must when flying with kids, per What’s Up Moms.
But parents also need to plan for when those things don’t work — even if you’re one of Ms. Rachel’s kids.
According to The Flying Mum, parents can also keep their kids busy on a long flight with coloring books, small knick knacks at your local department store, “search and find” activities and plenty of snacks.
