“But that's really been the biggest change,” Kylie Kelce said. “Dad's a pro.”
Nick Cannon is opening up about his disdain for the term “co-parenting.”
During a recent episode of his “Nick Cannon @ Night” podcast, released Aug. 13, Cannon fielded a question from a viewer who asked for his “perspective on managing multiple co-parenting relationships.”
The viewer added that Cannon is in “a unique situation that could offer some real insights for blended families.”

Cannon opened his response by saying he has “always kind of had an issue” with the term “coparenting.”
“Why do we have to have the ‘co?’ We’re just parents,” Cannon said on the podcast.
"When you start throwing labels on things, I think it does more harm than help and can get very dangerous, because then everybody else has a preconceived notion of what you're doing,” he added.
Cannon went on to admit that he hasn’t “figured it out yet” and hasn’t “gotten it all the way right,” but chooses to “step into every situation with respect and compassion and individuality.”
He also said he only refers to them as his “baby mamas” when telling a joke, but avoids that term otherwise.
“That’s the other thing I always do with anyone I'm involved with in my life — I don’t bunch them together,” he said. “No one wants to be grouped into anything and everyone wants to be treated like an individual."
So, how many kids does Nick Cannon have? According to People, the entertainer has welcomed 12 children with six different women between 2011 and 2023.
He first became a father when he and singer Mariah Carey welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe, both of whom turned 14 on April 30, according to an Instagram post.
He has since welcomed six sons and four daughters with Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole and Alyssa Scott.
Nick Cannon reveals if his kids’ mothers get along or not
Elsewhere in the Aug. 13 podcast episode, Cannon’s guest Flame Monroe asked him if his kids’ mothers get along at all.
Cannon remained candid with his response.
"No! Do you know six women anywhere that get along?" he joked. “A basketball team be beefing with each other.”
Cannon has always been candid about his life as a father and even once joked that he’s raising a “baseball team” in an Aug. 6 interview with E! News.
Resorting back to a serious tone on his podcast, Cannon explained that his kids’ mothers “don’t have to” get along because they all “have their own lives.”
He later clarified that it’s not that his kids’ moms don’t get along, he just doesn’t like to think of himself as a “king” who’s “telling people what they have to do.”
“If you have your own relationship, then have at it, but it’s not a prerequisite,” he added.
