That camping trip your family still talks about? Science says it’s worth more than any toy under the tree.
Penn Badgley’s twins are apparently a handful — and don’t have “typical names.”
The 39-year-old “You” and “Gossip Girl” actor appeared on the Nov. 11 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast with Amanda Hirsch when he shared some rare comments about his newborn twins.
And he was a little disappointed that his friends didn’t warn him sooner about the chaos they create.
"I have a few friends with twins. First of all, I can't believe they didn't really say when they were going through it, like this is insane compared to one," the father of three (and stepdad of one) said.
"God bless everybody raising children because it's never easy,” he added. “One is like zero. Whenever I'm handling them both well, I'm just like, 'Oh my god, if there was one less.’”
Badgley went on to clarify that, despite the chaos, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
"I mean, I don't want one less because I love them obviously, but I'm like marveling at the fact that it's bananas,” he told Hirsch.

Penn Badgley and his wife, Domino Kirke, started dating in 2014, according to People.

The couple tied the knot three years later and welcomed their first child, a son whose name has not been publicly revealed, in August 2020. They went on to welcome twin boys earlier this year.
Badgley is also a stepdad to Kirke’s 16-year-old son Cassius from a previous relationship.
Penn Badgley’s kids names will be revealed at some point
Badgley might not be ready to reveal his twins’ names, but his fans are hoping that day comes soon.
After all, the “Easy A” actor made it clear that the names aren’t what you’d expect.
“Their names are a sound bite,” he said of his twins. “I’m not going to share them yet. In years to come, I’m sure I will.”
“Their names are something,” he continued — adding that they aren’t your usual run-of-the-mill names like Mike or Ben.
As for what his twins look like, Badgley confirmed that they’re looking more and more identical with each passing day.
"Well, in the very beginning, it was very easy to tell them apart. And it's still — for us — easy," he said. "But the bigger they get, the more they grow. They're becoming more and more identical."
Badgley went on to explain that he doesn’t quite know what type of parent he’ll be for his twins yet.
For now, he’s purely focused on “keeping them alive” and being the caretaker they need. And to anyone wondering if he and his wife are going to try for a girl someday, he’s not sure yet.
