Kim Kardashian’s kids received quite the Christmas gift — but PETA doesn’t approve of it.
The 45-year-old beauty mogul and socialite took to her Instagram Story on Dec. 25 to share that each of her four kids received a puppy as a Christmas gift — adding four new Pomeranians to the family.
“Each kid got a puppy,” she wrote alongside an image of the four pups, according to E! News.
But Kim, who shares four kids — North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — with her ex-husband Kanye West, wasn’t the only Kardashian sister to grow their family this holiday season.

Kim’s younger sister, Khloe Kardashian, also joined in on the fun by gifting her two kids — True Thompson, 7, and Tatum Thompson, 3 — whom she shares with Tristan Thompson, a new puppy.
The black labrador is named Peppermint, according to E! News.
"I am not ok right now. This maybe my gift because I could cry @bigcreeklabradors she is the sweetest soul ever!!!!!" Khloe wrote in an Instagram Story of her own.
PETA wasn’t too happy about Kim Kardashian’s gifts
Unfortunately for the Kardashians, PETA didn’t seem too pleased with the new additions.
In a statement shared by People on Dec. 28, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) founder Ingrid Newkirk used Khloe and Kim Kardashian’s Christmas puppies as a warning to the family.
"Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that," Newkirk told the outlet.

She went on to voice her frustration over the Kardashian sisters not supporting PETA or a local shelter.
"[They can] try to make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt-a-thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis," Newkirk added.
Despite what PETA said, many Kardashian fans took to X to defend the two sisters.

- “Let the woman give her kids some damn puppies. Wtf.”
- “i hear what they say but those puppies are born anyway, giving them a nice home which they will have with lots of space is not a bad thing at all, they deserve a life too.”
- “let's be real, those dogs probably have their own nannies, chefs, and a better healthcare plan than me. they are gonna be fine.”
Nonetheless, some X users were quick to double down on PETA’s argument.
“If you knew how they breed and sell off the mother’s babies, you would understand that PETA is 1000% correct. I am not even a fan of peta but they are right,” one X user wrote.
“PETA ain’t wrong bc Kim doesn’t even like dogs and this isn’t the first time she’s gotten dogs for her kids just to turn around and give them away,” another X user wrote.

According to People, Kim Kardashian and her kids also own several pet lizards and a few other Pomeranians, including two that were welcomed in 2019.
