Rebel Wilson offers honest parenting advice to Hailee Steinfeld as she awaits her first baby

As Rebel Wilson prepares for round two, her former co-star is gearing up for round one. 

The 45-year-old “Pitch Perfect” star had some exciting news to share with fans on Dec. 8 when her wife Ramona Agruma took to Instagram to reveal that she’s pregnant with the couple’s second child. 

Wilson and Agruma, who have been married since September 2024, already share a daughter named Royce Lillian, who was born via surrogate in 2022. 

Four days after Rebel Wilson’s baby announcement, her former “Pitch Perfect 2” co-star Hailee Steinfeld shared some news of her own.

In a video shared on Instagram and in her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld revealed that she’s pregnant with her first child with husband and Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen. 

Wilson sent a lot of praise Steinfeld’s way — and even some parenting advice for the soon-to-be mom. 

"Hailee's so talented and you know, watching that romance... it's incredible for them," Wilson told People in an interview published Dec. 15. 

"It is hard because she's got an amazing career as an actress, so I'm sure she'll be a working mom as well. And it is really, really tricky,” she added. 

But one thing that helped Wilson in her journey as a working mom was making sure she wasn’t alone. 

"But we did have a great baby nanny at first, so when Ro was first born, 'cause when you're a new parent, you don't even know anything about feeding and sleep schedules and anything," she told the outlet. 

"So to bring in a professional just at the start is a really good thing,” she advised. 

Rebel Wilson says mom friendships are ‘super important’

Wilson has been open about her parenting journey in the past. 

In an interview with TODAY.com, published on June 9, the “Bride Hard” actress opened up about how no one ever teaches women about motherhood and how difficult it can be when first starting that journey. 

But one thing that certainly helped was having mom friends by her side.

“I think mom friendships are super important because it’s so hard being a mom. The more you can share and learn from each other, I think the better it is for everybody," she told TODAY.com at the time. 

As for navigating her life as a working mom, Wilson tries to avoid the mom guilt that comes with it.

“Even though you’re not spending as much time with your child, at least your child sees you working hard for the family and that’s a positive role model,” she recalled of the advice her friend gave her. 

Wilson and Agruma went public with their relationship in June 2022, according to People. 

The couple welcomed daughter Royce a few months later, got engaged at Disneyland in 2023 and tied the knot in Sardinia, Italy, on Sept. 28, 2024 before announcing their second pregnancy last week. 

“The happiest news in our family. it will be 4 of us soon! Baby number 2 is on her way. I love you @rebelwilson,” Rebel Wilson’s wife wrote in an Instagram video showing off her growing baby bump.

“Baby, so happy for our gorgeous babies!” Wilson wrote in a comment, to which Agruma added, “I love you to the moon and back.”
