“I don’t let my kids sleep anywhere. I’m very strict about it.”
When Kelvin Banks Jr. was drafted by the New Orleans Saints as the ninth pick of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday, April 24, he and his family were thrilled, with the exception of one very special person.
As his loved ones around him celebrated with Banks as he received the once-in-a-lifetime call, his infant son, Khalil, who was being held by his partner, Demetria Bolden, had a different type of reaction.
After his father was drafted into the NFL, Khalil spit up on Bolden who was all smiles.

The cameras capturing the lifetime achievement, also captured Khalil’s comedic typing.
Football fans were quick to pick up on Khalil’s reaction, joking that the baby “was not a fan of the pick,” one X user mused.
Another claimed his father achieving his dreams was simply “too much for the baby to handle.”
While talking with ESPN's Saints reporter Katherine Terrell, Banks and Bolden said they saw the clip of their son going viral.
On X, Terrell reported, “I’m sure many parents can relate, as Kelvin Banks got spit up on by his son while on camera celebrating tonight.”
Banks told Terrell “it was the first thing he saw when he checked social media. He said he and his girlfriend found the video hysterical.”
In another video shared by Banks’ alma mater, the University of Texas, Khalil was peacefully sleeping as he received the big news. He was startled awake by the celebration.

Banks and Bolden first announced they were expecting Khalil in November 2024 on Instagram.
“Our little love,” they wrote at the time.
