“It’s our first grandchild after many moons of waiting.”
Alex Morgan is already “back to reality” roughly two weeks after having a baby.
The 35-year-old recently-retired soccer star welcomed her second child — a son named Enzo — with her husband Servando Carrasco on March 30.
Morgan announced the exciting news on Instagram with photos of the little one’s tiny feet and fingers.

On April 15, Morgan returned to Instagram to share a postpartum photo of her body as it continues to recover from the nine-month process it just went through.
“A woman’s body is insane. Real talk,” she wrote in the caption.
Morgan went on to express how amazing it is that women can carry a child for nine months before pushing them out of their body and getting back to normal life.
She also clarified that her own pregnancy journey included 20 hours of labor and four hours of pushing.
“Then boom, here you go, back to reality — with barely any recovery time,” she wrote in the caption. “Truly amazed by what women are capable of…from world championships to motherhood.”
Many of her friends and fans took to the comment section to show their support.
“Moms are super humans. Congrats,” one user commented, while another wrote, “That’s why we all need to start fully supporting each other.”
Other comments were centered on the underwear briefs she was wearing in the photo.
“I LIVED in those briefs for like 2 solid months after my baby,” one of her fans wrote, while another added, “The best post partum undies!”
Morgan also shares a 4-year-old daughter with Carrasco

Morgan and Carrasco met in 2007 during their freshman year at the University of California, Berkeley, according to Today. At the time, they were both playing for the school’s soccer team.
The couple got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California in 2014.
Six years later, on May 7, 2020, Morgan and Carrasco welcomed their first child — a daughter named Charlie — into the world.
Morgan revealed the news on Instagram two days after her little one was born.
“She made us wait longer than expected, but I should have known she would do it her way and her way only,” she wrote in the caption. “My super moon baby.”
Fast forward to September of last year — when Morgan had quite the announcement to share.
In addition to revealing her second pregnancy — an unexpected one — Morgan also announced that she was retiring from her illustrious soccer career, which spanned nearly 15 years.
“I’m going to get to the point quickly. I’m retiring and I have so much clarity about this decision and am so happy to be able to finally tell you,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram on September 5.
“This is also not the retirement video I expected when I initially thought I was going to do this because Charlie is going to be a big sister,” she added.
Morgan began her senior career in 2010 after playing four years at the University of California, Berkeley. She made her debut with the U.S. women’s national team in 2010 and her World Cup debut in 2011.
