“Watching somebody do something I can't do. To be there for somebody else succeeding where I failed.”
Hannah Brown is opening up about a condition she was diagnosed with several years ago.
The 30-year-old Bachelor Nation alum, who plans on marrying her fiancé Adam Woolard this summer, appeared on Maria Menounos’s “Heal Squad” podcast, released May 6, to talk about life lately.
Nearly halfway into the episode, Brown said she’s “not at the place where I’m ready to have children” when she revealed that she was diagnosed with uterus didelphys.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, uterus didelphys is a condition “where you’re born with two uteruses.”
“I haven't done the exploratory surgery to kind of figure out exactly what's going on because yeah, there's some risk in whatever may be there when I'm ready to have children,” Brown told Menounos.
It’s one of the least common uterine complications and affects roughly 0.3% of people with a uterus.
In the podcast episode, Brown reveals that her uteruses are “attached in some way” and “almost split.”
She says the next step is for her doctor to determine if one uterus is bigger than the other and which one might be better when it’s time to carry a baby.
As for why she hasn’t had the exploratory surgery yet, Brown says she has had “so much going on.”
“Put that on a shelf. I don't need to be stressing about that right now,” Brown tells Menounos.
She was, however, directed by her doctor several years ago to “start having some things planned out,” such as freezing her eggs, by the time she turns 30 — Brown turned 30 in September.
“I'm like, ‘Okay, I'm getting married this year. I will get right on that right after,’” Brown said.
Brown and Woolard announced their engagement in August.
Earlier this year, she revealed that they are no longer living together as they prepare for their wedding, per Us Weekly.
“We had lived together for eight months into our relationship and we decided to just trust God, and we are not living in this house together until we get married this summer,” she said in a Jan. 23 Instagram Story.
Brown doubles down on not being ‘quite ready’ for a child

When talking about her double uterus diagnosis, Brown described it as “definitely a shock.”
She highlighted the potential complications that can arise if she became pregnant — which is only more of a risk with her being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as well.
PCOS is a condition in which a woman’s ovaries produce excess hormones, per Johns Hopkins Medicine.
“We’ll get there when we get there,” she said of having a baby.
“But to have knowledge of, like, ‘Hey, this is something that you’re gonna want to take care of when you’re ready for that time,” she continued, “and to not be surprised by it was really helpful.”
When asked if having a baby is “like a dream,” Brown said she goes “back and forth.”
“I definitely think I would love to have a child. I don't wanna miss out on that experience, but I haven't been quite ready yet,” she tells Menounos. “Which I think makes sense. I wanna get married first.”
“I've never been somebody that's just like, just waiting, waiting, waiting for that to happen. But I do think I'm gonna want to have that experience when it's time,” she added.
She did, however, admit that babies are growing on her now that her brother and his wife are expecting their first child.
“My brother, they’re about to have a baby girl and I just love them,” she told Menounos.

“But I’m sure whatever happens I’ll be super happy. But it’s starting to come,” she added.
