“That’s my baby grandson in there. He and mama looking very good. Love you guys so much.”
Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope aren’t just bringing their family back together — they’re growing it!
The superstar couple, who both starred in the 2024 holiday film “Marry Christmas,” shared that they’re expecting baby No. 2 while walking the red carpet at the 20th anniversary of “Dancing with the Stars.”
This will be Lawrence’s fourth child total and second child with Cope.
“I’ve got the older girls and then we have our little one Dylan, who is three, and we got this little guy,” Lawrence said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight as he pointed to Cope’s baby bump.
Joey Lawrence’s wife then confirmed that the baby on the way is a boy — the couple’s first.
Lawrence also joked that the pregnancy came as a surprise to him and his wife, much like their color-coordinated outfits.
“Nothing is planned, not even this,” he said as he, again, pointed at the bump.
When asked how the couple was feeling, Lawrence joked that his wife is the one doing all the work before redirecting the question her way.

“I feel great, thank you for asking,” Cope said into the mic.
Lawrence and Cope initially met in 2020 while filming the Lifetime movie “My Husband’s Secret Brother,” according to People.
On August 12, 2021, the two took to Instagram to announce their engagement.
They tied the knot in Temecula, California on May 1, 2022 and welcomed a daughter, Dylan Rose, eight months later on Jan. 16, 2023.
Lawrence is also a father to two other daughters, Charleston and Liberty, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Chandie Yawn-Nelson, according to People.
Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope reconciled one year ago
Lawrence and Cope’s pregnancy announcement comes after a difficult time for the couple.
Cope, who filed for divorce from the actor in August 2024, listed their date of separation as June 7, according to People, and cited “irreconciliable differences” as the reason for the split.
The couple nearly broke the internet three months later when Lawrence posted a photo of the two sharing a kiss on Instagram.

“I am beyond grateful. I am beyond blessed. I am galaxies beyond thankful. My heart is so full,” he wrote in the Dec. 4 caption, to which Cope commented, “love you.”
The Superior Court of California in Los Angeles officially dismissed the divorce on Dec. 10, nine days after Cope signed the entry of dismissal, according to People.
On Dec. 18, Lawrence expressed how “thankful” he was to have a “second chance” with who he describes as his “best friend” in a sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“You make some terrible mistakes and it feels great to have a second chance to get everything right,” he said in the interview. “I love her to death.”
He then admitted to not handling those “serious mistakes” correctly and commented on the “pressure” that mounted from going through a public divorce.
