Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner are officially a family of five — and finally girl parents!
The 40-year-old model and tech enthusiast, who has been married to Kushner since 2018, according to People, took to Instagram on Sept. 21 to share her first photo of the newborn baby girl.
“Welcome to the world Rae Florence,” she wrote in the caption alongside a black and white photo of the baby girl wrapping her tiny hand around her mom’s index finger.
Kloss further revealed that the baby girl — who joins the couple’s two sons Levi, 4, and Elijah, 2, per People — was born on Sept. 18.
The baby announcement came just a few hours after Kushner revealed the baby news in a photo of his own, which showed Rae Florence wrapped in a blue and pink swaddle while wearing a pink hat.
Karlie Kloss’ husband is the younger brother of Jared Kushner, who is married to President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, according to People.
The couple’s many celebrity friends took to the comment section to share their excitement.
“Hi Rae!!! I cannot wait to meet you!! Enjoy all the snuggles mama!!” model and mom of three Ashley Graham wrote under Kloss’ photo.
“Congratulations! Welcome to the world baby Rae!” actress and girl mom Priyanka Chopra added.
Tom Brady, Lily Collins, Michael Bublé, Wes Gordon, Devon Windsor and David Lee also commented on the couple’s baby reveal.

Kloss and Kushner met in 2012 and started dating later that year, according to Us Weekly.
The couple announced their engagement in 2018, tied the knot three months later and welcomed their first son, Levi, in March 2021. Their second son, Elijah, followed in July 2023.
On March 17, Kloss took to Instagram to announce that she was pregnant with her third child.
“Three’s a party,” she wrote in the caption alongside photos of her two sons and a growing baby bump.
“Incredible !!! I'm so happy for YOU & your growing family,” actress Reese Witherspoon wrote in the comment section.
Jennifer Gates, Paris Hilton, Lauren Sanchez Bezos, Kim Kardashian, Gal Gadot, Caroline Wozniacki, Brie Larson, Lily Collins and Serena Williams also commented on the pregnancy announcement.

The name Kloss and Kushner chose for their baby girl broke a tradition they started with their two sons.
Rae, which is generally used as a diminutive of Rachel, meaning “ewe” in Hebrew, hasn’t appeared in the Social Security Administration’s top 1,000 for girl names since 1982.
That means Rae is much more unique than the names they chose for their sons Levi and Elijah — both of which are Hebrew names.
Levi has ranked 12th among boy names each year since 2021 and has cracked the top-100 every year since 2009, while Elijah has ranked in the top-10 nine years in a row, per the SSA.
Meanwhile, Rae has been on a steady decline every year since 2021, when it was given to 241 baby girls in the United States — a number that fell to just 184 in 2024.
It’s the same name Brittany and Patrick Mahomes used for their baby girl’s middle name, though they spelled it Golden Raye.
As for the middle name Kloss and Kushner chose for their newborn, Florence is an Italian name that comes from the Latin word florens, meaning “prosperous” and “flourishing,” per Behind the Name.

Florence has ranked in the SSA’s top-1,000 each year since 2017 and most recently ranked 435th in 2024. It was used as a first name for girls 711 times in 2024, per the SSA.
