Meghan Trainor’s baby news came as a shock to everyone.
The 32-year-old Grammy-winning artist took to Instagram on Jan. 20 to announce the arrival of her third child — and first daughter — with husband Daryl Sabara via surrogate.
The baby girl was born on Jan. 18, according to the caption.
“Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” Trainor wrote in the post.

The “All About That Bass” singer already shares two sons — Riley, 4, and Barry, 2 — with Sabara.
“We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,” she wrote of the couple’s decision to pursue surrogacy.
“We are over the moon in love with this precious girl,” she added.
Meghan Trainor’s baby news had fans and friends equally excited (and shocked).
“My (heart) is bursting for you all,” fellow singer Jessie J wrote in the comment section.
“Cutie princess!!! So happy for you!!!” Vanessa Hudgens added, while Jimmy Fallon added, “Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you, she has the best mom!”

“Such magic, so much beauty !! Congratulations to you and your growing family,” Jeremy Renner commented.

Meghan Trainor’s kids were involved in the baby-naming process
Meghan Trainor went with a trendy baby name for her first daughter.
While it was given to less than five baby girls in 2024 (and only 42 baby boys), it follows one of the hottest baby name trends of 2026, according to baby name expert Colleen Slagen.
“Parents are using names for their daughters that are traditionally used for boys,” she said of what she described as “Andi Anderson” names in an interview with People, published Dec. 30.

It’s the same trend Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt used for their daughter, Scottie Rose.
As for the middle name, Trainor enlisted some help from Mikey’s big brothers.
“Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name,” Trainor wrote in her baby announcement. “We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all.”
Daryl Sabara and Meghan Trainor first met in 2014, but didn’t start dating until two years later and went Instagram official in October 2016, according to People.
The couple got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot in December 2018, per the outlet.
Their first pregnancy announcement came in an October 2020 Instagram post, followed by the birth of their first son Riley on Feb. 8, 2021 — six days before his original due date.

Their second baby announcement came in January 2023 during an appearance on the “Today” show. Their second son, Barry, was born on July 1, 2023 — on the seventh anniversary of their first date.
