Nara Smith Talks Postpartum Struggles After Welcoming Fourth Child

Lauren Jarvis-Gibson | January 6, 2026

Nara Smith is opening up candidly about the realities of postpartum life after welcoming her fourth child.

The influencer and model shares four children with husband Lucky Blue Smith: Rumble Honey, Slim Easy, Whimsy Lou, and newborn Fawnie.

In a recent video, Nara spoke honestly about how challenging the postpartum period has been, starting with exhaustion.

“Let’s talk about postpartum. The first thing is tiredness. No one really prepares you for the lack of sleep that you’re going to get. You probably can tell by my bags. I get maybe three hours of sleep a night.”

She also shed light on postpartum anxiety, noting that it’s discussed far less than postpartum depression. “I get really bad postpartum anxiety. I feel like people talk a lot about postpartum depression but I don’t really see a lot about postpartum anxiety. I get really anxious about getting things done, getting enough sleep, whether I’m a good mom or not, and just being in control of things.”

Nara went on to describe the intrusive thoughts that can come with anxiety. “I have the craziest thoughts sometimes that make absolutely no sense.”

She shared that one of her most distressing fears is worrying her own comforter could somehow end up in baby Fawnie’s crib, even when the baby isn’t anywhere near her bed.

The influencer also spoke about dissociation and how she felt like she didn’t really feel like she was even pregnant. “Right after she was born, it didn’t really feel real.” She went on to later say it took her about two weeks to process that she had actually given birth.

Lastly, Smith went on to tell her followers that her eczema came back with a vengeance during postpartum “It wasn’t a good time at all. It was horrible. Dealing and adjusting to that was horrible for me.”

On her Instagram video, celebrities and fans alike are showing their support to the mom of four. One fan wrote, “Girl I got postpartum rage… never heard anyone talk about that!! 🥵🤯.” Another person said, “This was my postpartum experience too, intrusive thoughts are the worst!! You’re doing so amazing mama 🤍.”

The Smiths shared the news of Fawnie’s birth on October 11, posting a heartfelt announcement on social media.

“She’s here!” Nara wrote on Instagram alongside a short video of the newborn. “Welcome to the world little angel.”

Months earlier, Nara had surprised followers by announcing she was expecting again. In a June 2025 TikTok, she revealed her growing baby bump by lifting her flowy top, cheekily captioning the post, “Baby 4 loading...” and later admitting, “This was a surprise baby. I said I was totally done after our last one. I guess it was meant to be.”
