Your baby's eye lids are forming this week.
What You should expect in Week 9
Your baby’s heartbeat can start being detected anywhere from week 8 to week 12! How exciting is that?
Their heart now has four distinct chambers, and the valves are beginning to form, the BabyList reports.
And although they can’t quite open their eyes yet, their eyelids are now fully formed!
Additionally, your baby’s muscles and bones are beginning to develop as well, and soon it will be your body that is supplying your baby with calcium.
This means it’s important to make sure you are getting enough calcium and vitamin D as well!
Over the next three weeks, your baby will start to gain significant amounts of weight.
As for you, Mama, if you’ve been experiencing morning sickness, it is likely at its peak! Hopefully, you should be experiencing some relief from that nausea soon!
You may also be feeling some cramping and headaches right now as well.
The cramping shouldn’t be cause for concern and may be due to dehydration, digestion, and growth. However, if the cramping becomes severe, please notify your doctor immediately.
