The Jonas Brothers share a lot in common, but nothing brings them together more than their roles as girl dads.
The three real-life brothers — Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas — were recently featured on the premiere of the new NBC series “Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson,” which debuted Aug. 19, per NBC.
During their sit-down with the former “American Idol” winner and mom of two, the Jonas Brothers opened up about what being a girl dad means to them.
“(Fatherhood) changes everything, the lens you see every bit of life through just changes and priorities shift,” Nick Jonas said to Clarkson, according to Today.
“As a songwriter and as an artist, I think you just look at the world very differently,” he added. “And we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to tell some of our stories about our journey as fathers and husbands.”
Nick Jonas, the youngest of the three, welcomed his lone daughter Malti with wife Priyanka Chopra via surrogate on Jan. 15, 2022, according to People.
Meanwhile, Joe Jonas — the middle brother of the three — described being a girl dad as “a reason to live life to your fullest.”
“And that’s a wonderful, weird thing that we have in common, the fact that we all have girls. It’s kind of crazy,” the father of two said on the show.
“So being able to write music... we may not have stuff in common in relationships, but we have certain things in common when it comes to being dads,” he added.
Joe Jonas shares two daughters — Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3 — with his ex-wife Sophie Turner, per People.
As for the oldest of the three, Kevin Jonas said he enjoys introducing new music to his two daughters, much like the trio’s parents did for them growing up.
“It’s always music they’ve never heard,” he told Clarkson. “So I’m trying to instill that same kind of music in their lives like it was instilled in ours.”
For his part, Kevin Jonas shares daughters Alena Rose, 11, and Valentina Angelina, 8, with his wife Danielle, whom he has been married to since 2009, per People.
Joe Jonas reveals the Jonas Brothers song they sing to their daughters
As a trio, the Jonas Brothers have released seven studio albums since 2006, per Apple Music.
But of all the Jonas Brothers songs out there, one of them stands above the rest as their favorite tune to sing to their five daughters.
That song is “Little Bird” from their 2023 album “The Album” — and it’s a song about parenthood, per Genius.
“To feel like this song has its own life, and it’s been there for other people throughout their journey, is really kind of unbelievable,” Joe Jonas told Clarkson of the tune.
“This has been, probably, our favorite song as dads to be able to sing for our kiddos... It seems like for other people, it’s special to them as well,” he added.
The Jonas Brothers got a taste of what the song means to their fans during a 2023 concert in Toronto.

According to a fan-posted video at the time, the brothers were about to sing “Little Bird” when Joe Jonas noticed a fan’s sign that read, “Dedicated ‘Little Bird’ For My Angel In Heaven.”
Joe Jonas walked over and gave the fan a hug before asking what her baby’s name was — and it was Valentina.
In a separate video, Kevin Jonas — whose daughter’s name is Valentina — was visibly distraught after learning the little girl’s name.
