Celebrity parents have a way of surprising us — especially when it comes to their baby name ideas.
Cardi B is putting an end to the speculation.
The 32-year-old “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to Instagram on June 16 to share the first photos of her third baby since announcing the little girl’s birth in September.
In the caption, Cardi B revealed the baby’s name for the first time publicly.

“It is you Miss Blossom Belles,” she wrote in the caption alongside a photo of Blossom standing on her own two feet in a pink onesie and pink knitted boots.
The name Blossom comes directly from the English word blossom (derived from Old English blostma), meaning “to bloom” — referring to the flower of a flowering plant.
Blossom has been given to 407 baby girls since 2020 and 101 baby girls in 2024 alone, per the Social Security Administration (SSA).
It last appeared in the SSA’s annual list of the 1,000 most popular girl names in 1931.
Cardi B’s recent post also included photos of Cardi B’s other two children — daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3 — all of whom she shares with fellow rapper Offset.
The rapper first announced that she was pregnant with Blossom on August 1, one day after filing for divorce from Offset for the second time.
“With every ending comes a new beginning!” the rapper wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
On Sept. 12, Cardi B returned to Instagram with a photo of her holding the newborn baby, who was born five days earlier, in her arms while laying in a hospital bed.
“The prettiest lil thing,” Cardi B wrote in the caption.
Cardi B and Offset first sparked dating rumors in February 2017 before secretly tying the knot later that year, according to People. Kulture was born in 2018, followed by Wave in 2021.
Cardi B initially leaked her daughter’s name in May
The big reveal comes after months of speculation around what the little girl’s name was.
The speculation began in November when Cardi B showed off a stack of diamond bracelets with her three kids’ names on them in an Instagram video posted by jewelry designer Elliot Eliantte.
Cardi B tried to cover up the name of her then-newborn daughter, but some fans caught a sneak peek.
“Got it! It's blossom. Cute name, Cardi,” one fan wrote in the comment section, while another commented, “I definitely saw Blossom.”
Other fans were speculating that the name was actually Bloom — not Blossom.
Cardi B played into the speculation again on May 30 when she took to X Spaces to call Offset out for asking for spousal support before publicly accusing him of barely spending time with their kids.
At one point in the rant, Cardi B accidentally says her daughter’s name, according to People.
"Kiari is allowed to see my kids. There is not one day that he's not allowed to see my kids. He stood up my kids three times. He has seen Blossom only like five times,” she said in the May 30 audio on X Spaces.

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in 2020 before reconciling later that year. She filed for divorce again in July 2024.
