Tineke “Tini” Younger is sharing her special way of honoring her late daughter with her followers.
It’s the perfect time of year for enjoying your favorite Christmas movies with your family. Or, if your dad is a famous actor, reminding them they are in one of those go-to classics.
For Magnus and Mattias Ferrell, that means not letting their dad, actor Will Ferrell, forget he was in the iconic 2003 Christmas movie, Elf.
The brother duo, ages 21 and 18 respectively, decided to recreate the famous shower duet scene between their dad and actress Zooey Deschanel.
In the scene, Deschanel’s character, Jolie, is singing in the shower of the work locker room only to realize that Ferrell’s character, Buddy the Elf, is singing along with her, creating an impromptu duet to the song, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
In the boys’ TikTok recreation of the scene, Magnus stood in the shower singing Deschanel’s part while his brother sat on the toilet playing the part of his dad.
In the comments, fans were loving the brothers’ nod to their dad.
“Iconic recreation i love it,” one fan commented on the post.
Others in the comments asked the boys what they thought of their dad’s movies.
“Ahh man this hits hard - I almost bid on your dad’s costume from Elf probably before you were born,” one commenter said. “I’m sure you’re tired of comments about him but can I ask a question? Does your family watch the movie as a tradition like so many others do, or is it just weird seeing your dad doing his job on a tv?”
“Dude that’s so cool to hear! No it’s not a bother at all I think it’s the least I can do! We have watched it before but when I was a little kid I hated the movie cause I didn’t like the part when he got yelled at 😭😭😭,” Magnus responded in the comments.
