Camp Mystic announced that it will be returning for the summer of 2026 with a new location and safety measures following a flood that killed 27 people.
On July 5, Brandon Blackstock’s daughter Savannah Blackstock Lee, 23, shared in an Instagram post that she was pregnant with her third child.
One month later, news broke that her father, who was married to singer Kelly Clarkson from 2013 to 2020, died following a three-year battle with skin cancer, according to NBC News.
It was later revealed that he died of malignant melanoma on Aug. 7, per People. He was 48.

On Aug. 19, Savannah Blackstock Lee broke her silence on her father’s death in a touching tribute shared on Instagram.
“My daddy never fell short of making my dreams come true. No matter how high or how far, he made a way,” she wrote in the caption alongside photos of her father and his grandkids.
She went on to call Brandon Blackstock her “best friend, my voice of reason, and my favorite phone call every day.”
“Not only did he make my dreams come true, he chased them with me. Worldwide he was there, my biggest cheerleader,” she added in the caption.
Savannah Blackstock Lee added that she’s thankful for the time she spent with her father and told him to enjoy his ranch that “God designed” for him in Heaven.
“I lost a piece of my heart and my favorite Cowboy, but Heaven gained an angel,” she wrote. “I love you daddy and I will miss you indefinitely.”
On Aug. 20, Savannah Blackstock Lee took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her son.
“He might look like his daddy but I will always see my daddy written all over him,” she wrote over the photo.
Brandon Blackstock was months away from becoming a grandfather again
Savannah Blackstock Lee already shares a 3-year-old son with her husband Quentin Lee, whom she married in September 2023, according to People.
In her July pregnancy announcement, she shared that she was due to welcome a baby girl in January while also revealing that they welcomed “another beautiful girl named Julianna” into the family recently.
“We’ve been keeping a couple sweet surprises,” she said in the post.
“This journey has been so special full of peace, excitement, and so much grace. We’re growing again, and our hearts are so full,” Savannah Blackstock Lee she continued.
In addition to Savannah, Blackstock also shares a son named Seth with his first wife Melissa Ashworth, whom he was married to from 2001 to 2012, according to People.
The talent manager then sparked a relationship with Clarkson, whom he shares two younger children with — an 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, and nine-year-old son, Remington "Remy" Alexander.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2022, according to People.
