"[It's] about to happen..."
Ben Affleck is opening up about his viral moment with his teenage son.
Fans might recall watching a video of the 52-year-old actor walking through the Got Sole sneaker convention in Los Angeles when his 13-year-old son, Samuel, spotted a pair of shoes he liked.
The only issue? The pair — Nike Dior Air Force 1s — cost about $6,000.

“You just like those because they’re expensive,” Affleck joked with his son. "That's a lot of lawns you gotta mow there.”
On April 22, Affleck appeared on Today’s “Jenna & Friends” show with host Jenna Bush Hager and guest host Andy Cohen when he was asked about the viral moment.
“He wanted these shoes, these sneakers,” Affleck said. “I was like, ‘Those sneakers are $6,000. What are you talking about?’”
When he pressed his son over the price, Affleck recalled Samuel saying, “We have the money,” to which Affleck joked, “I have the money. You’re broke!”
“As far as I know, you haven’t lent me $5,000,” Affleck added as the crew erupted with laughter.
Affleck says he wants his children to earn their keep

When Cohen asked Affleck if his kids have jobs, Affleck said yes — and explained why.
“Listen, you love your kids. You want to give them everything and do everything for them. But I think you do them a disservice,” he said of not letting them work for what they want.
“You want something meaningful that you want? You have to work for that,” he explains.
Affleck goes on to explain that his two oldest kids are currently working, while his youngest, Samuel, is starting to grapple with that reality.
While he didn’t reveal what types of jobs they have, Affleck said one of his kids has the “classic teenager working in the shop job” and his oldest is “working and trying to get an internship for the summer.”
As for Samuel, a job will likely come in the near future if he wants the types of shoes he likes.
“My son is 13. He’s reckoning with that reality right now as he’s looking at no shoes in his closet,” Affleck explained — adding that, while his son has shoes, he doesn’t have any “crazy expensive fancy shoes.”
“I’m like, well, if you want that, you can work 1,000 hours, you know, like minimum wage,” Affleck added.
