From Helena Bonham Carter to acting newcomers, 'The White Lotus' season 4 cast is shaping up to be one of the show’s most intriguing yet.
While a guest on Bunnie XO’s podcast, Jon Bon Jovi briefly spoke on becoming a grandfather after his son, Jake Bongiovi and his wife, actress Millie Bobby Brown, adopted a baby girl.
Millie and Jake announced the adoption of their little girl on August 21.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the 21-year-old wrote on Instagram.
“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” she continued. “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
The news came more than a year after Millie and Jake wed in a small ceremony on May 27, 2024. They later celebrated their marriage with a bigger celebration on September 21, 2024.
While both Millie and Jake have kept further details about their new baby girl private, Jake’s father, legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi talked about both of his son’s becoming fathers.
“So when you and Dorothea got back together, and you guys are going on this journey, you guys decided to start having babies. Let's talk about that, because you're a dad and now you're actually a grandpa,” Bunnie said to Bon Jovi.
“How cool is that? I didn't know until I was doing my research that your son, Jake, is married to Millie Bobby Brown, how was it meeting her and welcoming her in the family?”
“She's a sweetheart,” Bon Jovi said of his daughter-in-law, “and she's a hard worker. I tell her all the time how much I admire her, because her work ethic is unbelievable.”
Bon Jovi discussed Jake and Millie’s decision to get “married very young” and why they decision to “bless” their decision to do so.
“We get it. You know, they're sort of mature beyond their years,” the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer said. “She comes from a family where her parents are still together, and they married very young. Her and Jake fell in love, and we just thought, okay, you know, we'll support this and it's working out.”
Bon Jovi said that being a grandfather now is “crazy, but great, wonderful.”
“They adopted a girl, and we met the baby, obviously. And you know, immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean, your baby,” the rockstar continued. “So it's beautiful.”
As for the kind of grandfather he is, Bon Jovi labeled himself saying “I’m that pain in the butt guy already, because he wants “ to see pictures like every other day” of his granddaughter.
“So it's cool. And you know, our son, Jesse, and he his wife, they're going to have a baby,” he mentioned of his soon-to-be second grandchild. “So suddenly. It's a shift again.”
