Demi Lovato Cancels Five Tour Dates, Citing Need to ‘Protect My Health’

Hanna Wickes | February 10, 2026

Demi Lovato is scaling back her upcoming concert tour before it even begins, announcing that five cities will no longer be part of the schedule — and one show will be rescheduled — as the singer prioritizes her well-being ahead of a demanding run of live performances.

Lovato shared the news directly with fans on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Feb. 10, explaining that preparations for the tour led her to reassess what she could realistically take on.

“My Lovatics - I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can,” she wrote, addressing her fans. “While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible.”

What Fans Need to Know

The five cities being dropped from Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour are Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver. Fans in Orlando will also see a change, as that show is being moved to April 13.

Here are the originally scheduled dates for the cancelled stops:

  • Charlotte, North Carolina — April 8
  • Atlanta, Georgia — April 12
  • Nashville, Tennessee — April 14
  • Denver, Colorado — May 5
  • Las Vegas, Nevada — May 8

“Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver - I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there,” Lovato continued. “Orlando - we are moving your show to April 13th and will kick off there.”

The rescheduled Orlando date will now serve as the tour’s opening night.

Lovato Says She Needs More Time to Rest and Rehearse

In her message, the former Disney star was candid about the reasoning behind the decision. Rather than push through a schedule that could compromise the quality of her performances — or her health — she chose to pull back.

“To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour,” Lovato wrote.

The decision reflects a growing willingness among performers to set boundaries around their touring schedules, and Lovato herself has previously spoken publicly about the physical demands of life on the road.

In a 2024 interview, the Camp Rock alum opened up about how touring affects her body. “It takes a toll on your body,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m not 15 anymore.”

What the Tour Looks Like Now

Even with the cancellations, Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour remains a significant undertaking. The tour is set to run from April 13 until May 25, with stops in multiple cities across the U.S. Those cities include Los Angeles, California, Manhattan, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, and Seattle, Washington. Lovato will also perform a concert in Toronto, Ontario, in April, with her last show taking place in Houston, Texas.

Rising singer-songwriter Adéla will still be the opening act for the tour.

Despite the scaled-back itinerary, Lovato expressed genuine enthusiasm for the shows that remain.

“Additional tickets are available on demilovato.com/tour. I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me!” she wrote. “Thank you for your support always. I love you and I cannot wait to see you soon.”

Refund Information for Ticket Holders

For fans in the five affected cities, Lovato also addressed the refund process, offering clear instructions depending on how tickets were purchased.

“If you purchased your tickets for one of these shows through Ticketmaster or AXS, refunds will be issued automatically,” she wrote.

However, fans who bought tickets through a third-party reseller will need to take an additional step.

Lovato noted in her Instagram Story that those who purchased from platforms like StubHub or SeatGeek will have to reach out directly for a refund.

This is an important distinction for concertgoers to be aware of. Anyone holding tickets for the Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, or Denver dates who bought through official channels — Ticketmaster or AXS — should expect refunds to arrive without any action on their part. Those who used third-party platforms should contact those sellers as soon as possible to begin the refund process.

The It’s Not That Deep tour kicks off April 13 in Orlando and wraps up May 25 in Houston.
