From Helena Bonham Carter to acting newcomers, 'The White Lotus' season 4 cast is shaping up to be one of the show’s most intriguing yet.
Jacob Elordi always wanted to be an actor — and even dreamed of being Tony Hawk growing up.
But if there’s one thing he’s looking forward to in the future, it’s fatherhood.
In an interview with the “Wall Street Journal,” published Sept. 30, the 28-year-old “Euphoria” star opened up about his childhood when he was asked about the prospect of having kids of his own someday.
And he didn’t mince his words.

“Very much so,” he told the outlet. “My whole dream is to facilitate a childhood like the one that I had. It would just make me the happiest person in the world.”
For someone who has a history of speaking things into existence, that dream will manifest itself eventually.
In a 2022 interview with Daily Mail Australia, Elordi’s father, John, provided some insight into his son’s incredible rise to fame — which began with his role as Noah Flynn in “The Kissing Booth” (2018-21).
“He always knew what he wanted to be. And as his father there was a time I said to him ‘Mate, acting is a one-in-a-million kind of situation,’” his father said in the interview.
“And he said to me, ‘Well why can't that one be me? Why can't I be that one in a million?’” he added.

And that’s exactly what he became.
After starring in “The Kissing Booth,” Elordi went on to star in the HBO drama series “Euphoria,” a role he continues to this day, and was cast as Elvis Presley in “Priscilla” in 2023, according to IMDB.
Elordi was also cast in “Saltburn” (2023) and, most recently, “Frankenstein” (2025), per IMDB.
'That's how confidently he looked at things,” his father told the Daily Mail. “So as a parent we just decided to back him to the hilt and trust that he knew what he was doing.”
Then again, in a 2023 interview on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” Elordi revealed that the first thing he wanted to be when he grew up was Tony Hawk — and that never quite materialized.
Jacob Elordi praises his parents for showing him the way
Elordi’s parents were a frequent topic of discussion during his interview with the “Wall Street Journal.”
The talented actor described his father as an inspirational legend and someone who’s “quieter than life,” while his mom, Melissa, is an “angel” and “the greatest person” he has ever met.
“Her sole purpose in life—self-appointed—is being a mother,” he told the outlet — adding that his childhood was filled with “total love and sun and just uninhibited joy.”
He also credits his three sisters and high school classmates for helping him stay grounded in life.

“I literally just go to my premieres,” he said of his life off camera. “I don’t really acknowledge attention. My reality is in the start of production and the end of production, and then I go home.”
When he was asked to open up about his personal and dating life, Elordi responded with silence.
He was first linked with his “The Kissing Booth” costar Joey King in 2017, whom he dated for over a year, before rumors of a romance with his "Euphoria" costar Zendaya began in 2019, according to People.
