Tineke “Tini” Younger is sharing her special way of honoring her late daughter with her followers.
Noah Schnapp is stepping into a meaningful new role alongside one of his closest friends and fellow Stranger Things co-star, Millie Bobby Brown.
The actor, 21, recently appeared on The View, where he reflected on the upcoming final season of the hit series, the growth of his character, and his long-standing bond with Bobby Brown.
During the conversation, Schnapp shared what it means to be named godfather to Brown’s newborn daughter, whom she welcomed with her husband, Jake Bongiovi.
“It’s such an honor,” Schnapp said. “It’s kind of surreal because we’ve literally grown up together. When we were kids, she used to say, ‘When I have a baby, you’re going to be the godfather.’ And then life just… happened. She had a baby, and now I actually am.”
Brown announced the arrival of her daughter on Instagram on Thursday, August 21, revealing that the couple expanded their family through adoption.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the actress wrote. “We are beyond excited to begin this beautiful new chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy. And then there were three.”
At the red carpet premiere for the final season of Stranger Things, Brown confirmed Schnapp’s role while speaking with Entertainment Tonight, noting that her castmates have fully embraced their softer sides around the baby.
“Sadie is incredibly maternal, but Noah is her godfather,” Brown said, referring to Sadie Sink. “They all turn into the most gooey, gentle versions of themselves the moment they’re around her.”
Schnapp echoed those sentiments, expressing pride as he watched his longtime friend enter motherhood.
“It’s honestly the greatest joy,” he told the outlet. “It’s wild to see her go from this wide-eyed, silly kid to a married woman and now a mom. I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
