“This isn’t the Oscars, honey! We’re not changing for the after party!”
Sara Evans is officially entering her grandma era.
The 54-year-old country music singer took to Instagram on Sept. 29 to share a photo of her holding her first grandchild — a baby boy named John Evans Headley — as her husband smiled in the background.
Evans alluded to how “blessed” and “obsessed” she was in the caption.
“Meet our grandson! We are so blessed!” she wrote. “We are so thrilled for you and proud of you! I can’t even put this into words! Granny and Grandaddy! We are obsessed! He is the most beautiful baby!”
Sara Evans’ daughter, Audrey Evans, announced the baby boy’s arrival earlier that day.
“Welcome to the world our perfect angel,” she wrote in an Instagram caption of her own — adding that the baby boy weighed 7 lbs and 4 oz at the time of his birth on Sept. 29.
This marks Audrey’s first child with her boyfriend John Headley, according to People.

In one of her videos, which was taken minutes after birth, Audrey is seen caressing her baby boy’s cheek as he rests his head on her shoulder — a moment Sara Evans marveled at in the comment section.
“I can’t stop watching this bc it’s the only part we couldn’t be in for. I just cry when I see his precious parents love him so much!” the singer wrote.
“I cannot stop crying! Life changing! He is the cutest baby ever and I love you so much Audrey and John! Praise God!” she wrote in a second comment.
Sara Evans provides an update on her second day as a first-time grandma
Sara Evans was still over-the-moon excited as she settled into her grandma era.
The mom of three returned to the hospital on Sept. 30 to get a second look at her grandson and posted a series of photos on her Instagram with the little boy.
“Second day as Granny and it was even better than the first! He is the sweetest, most beautiful baby boy! Grandaddy took all the pics! Haha! God is great!” she wrote in the caption.

The "I Could Not Ask for More” singer shares three kids — son Avery, 26, and daughters Olivia, 22, and Audrey, 20 — with her ex-husband Craig Schelske, whom she divorced in 2007, according to People.
She went on to marry Jay Barker (who has four kids of his own) in 2008 — and she mostly credits him for helping her raise her three kids.
The newest addition to Sara Evans’ family comes just a few weeks after her older daughter Olivia — a singer in her own right — tied the knot with her now-husband Blake Irvin.
“To stand there with my child moments before she got married was truly such a beautiful moment!” Sara Evans said of the couple’s Sept. 20 wedding day in an Instagram post.
“She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen and it was a perfect day!” she continued. “I love you Livy SO MUCH! And you and Blake are so perfect for each other!”
As for Audrey Evans, she announced her pregnancy on April 21 with a country-inspired photoshoot — which featured a horse.
