"Even when my songs got big, my mom was like, ‘Yeah, but what's your backup plan?’”
Late night talk show host and comedian Seth Meyers sat down with longtime friend Amy Pohler on her podcast “Good Hang.”
During the June 3 episode, Meyers and Pohler discussed what annoys them most while at an airport, which prompted Meyers to share a story about his most “unique” child.
Meyers and his wife of 11 years, Alexi Ashe, share three children together, 9-year-old Ashe, 7-year-old Axel and 3-year-old daughter Adelaide.
“The worst mistake I made, I took just Axel to visit my parents, and we went to the airport,” Meyers explained to Pohler. “Axel, who's the most unique of my kids, he just ran full speed and just slid across the airport floor.”
Meyers said he then “made the mistake of laughing” at his son’s shenanigans and as a result, Axel now does it every time.
“It's a bummer,” Meyers continued. “I’m so sure the next time he does it, when we're with the whole family, Alexi will be like, as you should, because they're filthy floors, right? ‘Please don't do that.’ And he'll be like, ‘Daddy liked it.’”
Although Pohler understood, she still called Axel’s now signature airport move “great.” Meyers agreed saying he finishes off the slide with his head in his head like an “old breakdancing video.”
“He's a funny kid,” Pohler said. “He is a funny kid.”

In the YouTube comments, some fans weren’t surprised Axel was labeled as Meyers “most unique” kid.”
“Lobby Baby was born to be chaos,” one comment read, referring to Meyers’ 2019 Netflix comedy special.

During the comedy special, aptly named, “Lobby Baby,” Meyers shares the story of Axel birth which took place in the lobby of their New York City apartment building.
“So anyways, we almost have our first kid in an Uber and despite that, our second baby was born in the lobby of our apartment building,” Meyers explained during the special.
“We were on our toes based on what had happened last time, and once again, the contraction started. We didn't wait a second. We didn't call the doctor. We went downstairs into our lobby, and we started walking out to the car, and all of a sudden, at the door, my wife stopped and turned to me and said, ‘The baby is here,’” Meyers continued.
“I look down, and the only way to describe what I saw, it looked like my wife was trying to smuggle a baby in a pair of sweat pants. […] My wife goes down and she lies on her back in the lobby, and I cannot stress to you how quickly she gave birth to our son. I was on the phone with 911 and this was the extent of my conversation with 911. ‘We’re about to have a baby. We're having a baby. We had a baby.’”
