"When your table finishes, let a Team Member know and everyone will receive an Icedream Cone as a reward. Are you up for the challenge?”
If you’ve ever handed your kid a kid-friendly knife and silently prayed for the best, Khloé Kardashian’s latest YouTube video is about to feel incredibly familiar — and impossibly cute.
True Thompson, who turns 8 on Sunday, took over the kitchen for a late-night snack-making session that her mom captured on video and shared on April 7.
The result? A masterclass in charm, quotable one-liners and the kind of wholesome mother-daughter content that makes you want to drag your own little one into the kitchen immediately.
True Thompson Takes Over the Kitchen Late at Night
True kicked off the vlog with the confident energy of a kid who knows she’s the star of the show.
“It’s late — it’s 9:41 — and my mom’s 41 and she’s gonna be filming the whole entire time like (a) cameraman… but camera girl,” True said in the intro.

Already iconic. Already relatable to every parent who has become their child’s personal videographer at unreasonable hours.
The 7-year-old was making an apple-based snack — but not for herself. It was for her mom. True got to work with an apple corer before quickly enlisting Khloé for backup, which led to one of the video’s sweetest moments.
“And then we press really hard, like Mommy has big muscles,” True said as her mom used the corer. “And then you see, they’re like a rainbow or something — and like a flower.”
She then reminded Khloé to be careful — “Try not to cut yourself with these” — before breaking into applause for her mom’s effort.
“Round of applause for mommy, she’s so strong,” True says in the video.
If your heart didn’t just melt a little, check your pulse.
True then took over with a kid-friendly knife to chop the apple slices into smaller chunks while Khloé snacked on some of her Khloud Protein Chips — a brand she founded and released in April.
True Thompson’s Surprising Food Opinions
This is where things got truly entertaining.
While her mom was eating some of her new Khloud Protein Chips, True said she doesn’t like chips. But her mom “loves, loves, loves them.”
According to Khloé, True thinks the “sweet heat” flavor is “too spicy” and the “buffalo” is “too flavorful.”
And when Khloé pressed her daughter about not liking chips, True dropped a bombshell: she doesn’t like cake, cookies or cupcakes either.

“Now you’re exposing me,” True said to her mom, who said it’s cool that she doesn’t like those things.
True went on to describe sugary snacks as “disgusting” and called her mom out for “just chomping away” at the chips. The audacity. The comedy. The sheer confidence of this child.
Every parent knows this kid — the one who rejects every snack you lovingly prepare and then requests something wildly specific at 9:41 p.m.
True Thompson’s Recipe Is Easy to Make at Home
Here’s the best part: the snack is simple enough that your kids can genuinely make it. After cutting the apples, True put them in a bowl and poured sparkling water over them before mixing it all together.
She let them soak for a full minute while mixing frequently, then drained the apples with a strainer and rinsed them with regular water. A sprinkle of salt finished the job.
True taste-tested the final product and declared, “It’s good,” inviting viewers to try it at home.
Here’s the full recipe:
- Cut green apples using an apple cutter (mom’s help recommended)
- Chop the apple slices into smaller pieces
- Pour sparkling water over the apples and stir
- Drain the apples
- Rinse with regular water
- Sprinkle with salt
- Taste test and enjoy!
Khloé shares True and son Tatum, 3, with her ex Tristan Thompson, whom she was with on-and-off from 2016 to 2022.
