NBC News later reported that Aniston was home but not injured at the time of the incident.
Not much is known about the driver of the vehicle, but TMZ reported that the man, now identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, is believed to be in his 40s.
After driving his car through the front gate, Aniston’s security guards pulled the elderly man out of his vehicle and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
Driver was arrested outside of Aniston's home

According to ABC News, the driver was taken into custody and booked for felony vandalism due to the damage caused in the wreck.
He “complained of pain and had to get checked out by an ambulance,” per TMZ.
It’s unclear at this time if the driver was specifically targeting Aniston’s property, but several sources say that the crash didn’t appear to be an accident, per ABC News.
The driver allegedly has a minor criminal history, but an investigation into his motive is ongoing.
After news of the incident went viral, KTLA sent a reporter and their Sky5 helicopter to assess the damage and found “that the retractable arm of the front gate was broken off” and resting on the ground.
The helicopter also observed people opening and closing the gate manually.
