“I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset.”
Ciara is encouraging women everywhere to drop their “skinhibitions” and celebrate their stretch marks.
The 39-year-old “Body Party” singer took to Instagram on Aug. 7 to show pride in her skin and body while teasing an upcoming partnership, which she has yet to announce.
In the caption, she admitted to having moments where she doesn’t feel great about her skin.

“This moment is about dropping our skinhibitions,” she said in the video. “You all know I’m a mom of my precious four babies and they have blessed me with these stretch marks.”
Ciara proceeded to show her viewers the stretch marks she was talking about.
“Why am I gonna cover up what I can show off?” she added in the video before singing a “nostalgic” remix to the song “Hokey Pokey” by The Learning Station.
Her remix went: “I put my left arm in / I let me worries out / I put my whole self in / And I shake it all about / I drop my skinhibitions and I turn (myself) around / And that’s what it’s all about.”
In the caption, Ciara said she’s “been seeing SO many conversations lately feeling like we have to cover up or hide.”
She then asked her followers to tell her about their “skinhibitions” as inspiration for the partnership.
“Girl, we love you but them little baby tiger marks ain’t nothing. Let me show you my daddy tiger marks,” one of her followers joked.
“I am proud of my tiger stripes. All my scars and (nickles and dimes) have chapters in my live story. Nothing to be ashamed of,” another user commented.
“Yesss. I call em my tiger stripes, looking forward to hearing what you cooked up,” a third user added.
