“When we say it, people are like, ‘Oh, did you hire a tutor?’ And we’re like, ‘No, we’re the tutors.’”
Kim Kardashian is opening about the mom she never thought she’d become — but did anyway.
During the Dec. 11 episode of “The Kardashians,” the 45-year-old beauty mogul and mom of four was co-sleeping in her bed with her six-year-old son Psalm and seven-year-old daughter Chicago.
Chicago had lost a tooth the day prior — and woke up to a modest gift from the Tooth Fairy.
“What did the tooth fairy bring?” she asked her daughter, who replied, “Two dollars.”

In a confessional, Kim discussed how she never thought she’d be the type of mom who co-sleeps with her children, but that all changed when she became a mom — and she doesn’t regret it one bit.
“There’s always one or two kids in my bed every night,” Kim said on the episode, according to People. “I never thought I’d be this mom that lets your kids sleep in bed with you.”
“That was always, ‘I’m so not that mom,’” she added. “But I so am that mom and I don’t care and my kids can sleep in my bed anytime they want.”
According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), 46% of parents say they sometimes, often or always co-sleep with a child under the age of 18.
Co-sleeping has been one of the biggest debates among parents for years.
Many experts warn of the safety risks that come with it — with the American Academy of Pediatrics estimating that roughly 3,500 infants die every year of sleep-related infant deaths.
The AASM also warns that co-sleeping “can potentially detract from the development of healthy sleep habits in children of any age.”
Kim Kardashian isn’t the only sister co-sleeping with her kids
In a 2024 interview with “The Cut,” Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she and her husband, Travis Barker, practice “safe co-sleeping” with their baby boy Rocky, who was born on Nov. 1, 2023.
Despite fans sharing their safety concerns, Kourtney doubled down on her stance several months later.
“*been co-sleeping safely since 2009, I still love reading/listening to more safe co-sleeping tips and hearing about the benefits,” Kourtney wrote in a July 2024 Instagram Story, according to Page Six.

Kourtney co-slept with her other son, Mason, until he was seven years old and her daughter, Penelope, still co-sleeps with her occasionally to this day.
“She’s slept with me every day since she was born and pretty much still does,” Kourtney said of Penelope on a 2022 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.
One of the benefits of cosleeping that Kourtney embraces the most is spending quality time with her kids.
“Some of the advantages of shared sleep for my family included a better and longer night’s sleep and more time together as a family,” she wrote in a blog post on her Poosh website.

“As a working mom, if I didn’t have much time with my babies during the day, at least I knew we’d have our nights together,” she added.
