“I hate when people say that kind of stuff because I agree, it’s a sacrifice if you’re actually a good father.”
A 6-year-old kindergartner is already following in her parents’ footsteps.
On Jan. 5, Bethany Hall took to Instagram to share a video of her reading a handmade, illustrated book about wine written by her 6-year-old daughter, Scout Haskel — and the internet can’t get enough of it.
The book, titled “The Kid Who Drank Wine,” was complete with a cover and drawings.
“My daughter wrote a book today and I just have to share it with you guys,” Hall said of the book before reading it aloud for all to see and hear.
It was a short book, but many commenters praised Scout for including a beginning, middle and end.

“Her name was Scout. Her mom said, ‘No drinking wine.’ And she didn’t listen,” Hall read from the book. “They went to a birthday party and no kids are allowed to drink wine. But she did.”
“Out to dinner, she drunk wine. And she got drunk. I don’t feel good Mommy,” the book concluded.
In an interview with TODAY.com, published Jan. 9, Hall explained where her daughter got the idea for the book — and how a simple trip to her mother’s house paved the way for her daughter’s book.
“We were visiting my parents, and every night my mom and I have a glass of wine and gossip,” she told the outlet.
“She’d been off on her own with a bunch of cousins, running around, asking for spelling help here and there. Then she just presented it to us. We were on the floor laughing,” she added.
The internet is in love with Scout’s book about wine
It appears the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, after all.
Hall, the Creative Director of Comedy Initiatives at the Center for Media & Social Impact, is a well-known comedian, writer, producer and former cast member on “The Chris Gethard Show” on TruTV.
She has also appeared on “Late Night with Conan O'Brien” and “30 Rock,” according to IMDB.
Her husband, Keith Haskel, is also a former cast member on “The Chris Gethard Show,” while also appearing as a “guy doing taxes” on the 2021 series “Six Degrees with Mike Rowe,” per IMDB.
And now adding to the family legacy, the couple’s daughter Scout is a beloved children’s book author.
“If a literary agent doesn't come thru and scoop this masterpiece up,” one Instagram user wrote in the comment section of Hall’s Jan. 5 post.
“Make this into an actual coffee table book for her 21st bday!” another user wrote.
“I hope this book is a memoir and I can't wait to hear about the real life story!” a third user commented.
