“Everyone please enjoy all the love in that room. Shine some on my family. I will be beaming and receiving from afar in a bed in Austin.”
Kylie Kelce is no stranger to the chaos that ensues when traveling with kids.
The 33-year-old mom of four took to her “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce” podcast on Sept. 22 for another edition of her “More S**t Mondays” segment — and it has parents everywhere nodding in agreement.
This week’s segment was centered around the “just bring the baby” trend circulating TikTok recently.
The trend shows parents responding to people who act like bringing their kids anywhere is an easy task that doesn’t require any preparation or effort — when, in reality, it’s a lot more stressful than you’d think.
As far as Kelce is concerned: “Traveling with a baby is just parenting in a different zip code.”
“You have to take so many things,” she says of traveling with kids before rattling off the laundry list of items parents must pack before even considering leaving the house with a little one.
That includes places for them to sleep (travel bassinet, pack and play, blowup toddler mattress), sheets (and backup sheets), blankets, sleepsacks and the child’s favorite toy that they won’t sleep without.
And that’s just for bedtime — the laundry list continues.
Car seats if you’re taking a vehicle, strollers if you plan on walking, wagons if you have multiple kids, clothes (and extra clothes if you can’t do laundry), snacks, water bottles, car potty, etc.
Kelce then went on to explain how each location has its own requirements.

For example, going to the beach means you’ll need chairs — and plenty of towels.
“You’re going to need more towels than you think because you’re going to need a towel for the ground. And you’re also going to need a towel to wrap them up in when they’re wet,” she explained.
“And then you’re going to need another dry towel because when they come back from the ocean for the third time, they’re not going to let you put the cold, wet towel on them,” she added.
On the Sept. 18 episode of her podcast, Kelce confessed that she “loves traveling, but not with my children.”
On Monday’s segment, she further confessed that traveling with kids makes any parent question whether or not it’s all worth it.
“I mean, it is. Like, we’re going to take them, but also… No,” she joked.
And if figuring out what to pack doesn’t get you stressed, trying to figure out how to fit it all in the car is a completely different story — and then there’s the chaos of what ensues once you get to the destination.
Kylie Kelce shares her thoughts on the best places to travel with kids
According to Kelce, bringing kids to a friend’s house who doesn’t have kids “makes me itch.”
“When someone invites you over and they don’t have any kids and you think to yourself, ‘Do they know what they have unleashed upon their house?” she said on the podcast.
“No, they don’t,” she argues. “Everything is a toy. When you don’t have toys, you know what’s a toy? Everything.”
The small tchotchke on the coffee table, souvenirs, the candle in the corner — all toys to a curious child.

As for her solution: “Let’s take them to wide open areas.”
But after thinking for a moment, she rephrased her solution.
“Oh, what if you got an eloper? Let’s take them to a fenced-in area,” she joked. “That most likely does not have animal feces.”
Kelce concluded that none of what she said will stop her from traveling with kids — but that doesn’t mean it’ll come easy.
The podcaster shares four daughters — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, born in March — with her husband, whom she has been married to since 2018, according to TODAY.

Kelce’s honest rant comes as other celebrity parents share their horrors of traveling with kids.
On Sept. 15, Hilary Duff joked that she came close to leaving her kids on the plane during a recent trip with her young kids.
Ms. Rachel also had an “embarrassing confession” to make about a recent mishap she experienced while traveling with her husband, Aron Accurso, and their two kids.
One recent survey, conducted by Talker Research and commissioned by Welch's Fruit Snacks, asked parents to describe what they struggle with the most when traveling with kids.
