The “All About That Bass” singer already shares two sons — Riley, 4, and Barry, 2 — with Sabara.
Pat McAfee, host of The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN, is soon to be a father of two.
The sports commentator took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his wife, Samantha McAfee.
The November 29 post included sonogram pictures, an announcement cake, and a gender reveal cake.
The gender reveal cake contained a layer that burned off of the top to reveal that the baby is going to be a boy.
In the caption of the post, Samantha opened up about the couple’s struggles on their journey to conceive again.
“The path that led us here was filled with needles, hormones, countless appointments, and more emotion than we ever knew two hearts could hold,” Samantha wrote. “IVF pushed my body to its limits and stretched our spirits in ways we never expected. It was hope and heartbreak, faith and fear — all tangled together as we trusted science and prayed for another miracle.”
Now, the couple is finally nearing the end of their long and difficult IVF journey.
Samantha continued, saying, “With humbled hearts and overwhelming gratitude, we are overjoyed to share that we are expecting a baby boy, arriving June 2026.”
Samantha also shared a message of hope for other women like herself that are struggling to conceive and are going through the physical and mental challenges of doing IVF.
“To every woman and couple still in the thick of this journey: you are not alone,” she wrote. “I hope our news doesn’t cause you pain, but instead offers a spark of hope. Hope that your story isn’t over. Hope that the impossible can become possible.”
The couple already share a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, and celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary this year.
The comments were flooded with congratulations and stories of those who have also gone through fertility struggles.
“People don’t understand how difficult it is to want children, but not be able to. It was a 10+ year journey for us. I literally got goosebumps thinking about it,” one fan shared in the comments.
Even Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce commented his well wishes on the post, saying, “🗣️Let’s goooo!!! Congratulations!!!”
