Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg is officially a mom of two — and first-time boy mom.
Alexandra, the fourth child and only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, welcomed her second child — a baby boy named Hélie — on Oct. 17, according to People.
Alexandra also shares daughter Victoire, born on May 14, 2024, with her husband Nicolas Bagory.
The royal baby news comes five months after the Grand Ducal Court announced Alexandra’s pregnancy in an official statement shared on its official Instagram account.
“Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess have the great pleasure of announcing that Princess Alexandra and Mister Nicolas Bagory are expecting their second child,” the caption read.
“Birth is scheduled for fall,” the post continued. “The Grand Duke, Grand Duchess and members of both families join in the joy of their children.”
Hélie’s birth also comes just two weeks after Alexandra’s father, Grand Duke Henri, voluntarily abdicated the Luxembourg throne after a 25-year reign.

The move made way for Alexandra’s brother and Grand Duke Henri’s eldest son, Grand Duke Guillaume, who began his reign on Oct. 3.
Princess Alexandra and Bagory, a Paris-based businessman, announced their engagement in November 2022 and have been married since April 2023, according to People.
Princess Alexandra’s son is now ninth in the line of succession
With her father stepping down, Princess Alexandra is now seventh in line to the Luxembourg throne.
That means her daughter, Victoire, is currently eighth in line and her new baby boy, Hélie, is ninth in line, according to Unofficial Royalty.
Grand Duke Guillaume V’s two sons — Prince Charles, born in 2020, and Prince François, born in 2023 — are first and second in the line of succession.
They are followed by Grand Duke Henri’s second son, Prince Félix, and his three children — Princess Amalia, born in 2014, Prince Liam, born in 2016, and Prince Balthazar, born in 2024.
Grand Duke Henri also shares Prince Louis and Prince Sébastien with Grand Duchess Maria Teresa to round out the Luxembourg Royal Family, according to the Grand Ducal Court.
Prince Louis renounced his right of succession for himself and his heirs upon his marriage in 2006, while Prince Sébastien, who is unmarried, is currently 10th in line — behind Alexandra and her two kids.
Up until 2011, men were favored over women in Luxembourg’s line of succession to the throne.

Luxembourg added women to the line of succession in June 2011 when Grand Duke Henri issued a decree that replaced male-preference primogeniture with absolute primogeniture.
