Picking out a Halloween costume is one of the most difficult decisions you’ll make come spooky season.
Especially when you consider all the different Halloween costumes you have to pick from.
You could go with a classic costume, such as a witch, vampire or ghost. Or, you might want to embrace a pop culture moment and dress up as your favorite celebrity, movie character or viral trend.
Either way, Google can provide valuable insight into which Halloween costumes are trending.

For example, 2024 was dominated by Bob from “Beetlejuice,” breakdancer Raygun and CatNap from “Poppy Playtime,” according to Google’s annual “Frightgeist” list based on year-to-year search data.
But this year, Google is seeing an influx of searches related to one pop culture trend, in particular.
And no, it has nothing to do with the “6 7” trend — though that is a real request in some households.
