From “New Heights” to old weights, fans are taking notice of Jason Kelce’s newest journey.
The 37-year-old former NFL center, who announced his retirement in March 2024, has fans talking on social media after a photo was posted to his podcast’s X account on April 15.
“Happy New Heights Eve, the best made-up holiday that's happening twice this week!” read the caption alongside a photo of Jason Kelce and his co-host brother Travis Kelce.

Many fans were excited to get two episodes of the podcast in one week and others were surprised to see that Jason Kelce finally straightened up his garage/man cave.
But other fans couldn’t help but notice how “skinny” Jason Kelce looked.
A fan wrote, “Uhhh (Jason Kelce) looks so tiny right here!!”
“How much weight have you lost? Not a diss, slimming down looks good on you brother,” a second fan commented.
Jason Kelce first opened up about his weight loss journey in a June 2024 interview with GQ magazine — just a few months after announcing his retirement from the NFL.
“I weighed 295 for the majority of my NFL career, and I look forward to losing some of those pounds,” he said at the time.
Jason Kelce added that he doesn’t want to get “too small,” arguing that a lot of retired offensive linemen “lose too much weight” and end up looking “like bobbleheads” due to their small neck.
His goal? To weigh somewhere around 250 to 260 pounds.
“I'll be still big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack,” he told GQ. “But I’ll still be able to have that stature a little bit.”
Jason Kelce said he weighed 277 pounds at the time of the interview, but was having a hard time imagining losing another 20.
“My back already feels better. My knees already feel better,” he explained. “So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.”
Where does Jason Kelce stand with his weight loss today?
Fast forward one year and Jason Kelce has taken his weight loss journey to another level.
During the March 26 episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Jason Kelce revealed that he entered a new weight loss competition with Beau Allen, one of his former teammates with the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Beau Allen reached out and said, ‘Do you wanna do a competition on who can lose the most body fat percentage but still gain muscle?’” Jason Kelce explained, per People.
In the episode, Jason Kelce confirmed that he still weighed around 277 pounds.
He also revealed his results from a bone density scan he underwent as part of the competition.
“There is a lot of fat in there!" Jason Kelce said. "It's kind of embarrassing seeing your body broken down like this. Although, I'm not gonna lie. It's a good calf-to-hamstring ratio, I think."
He further clarified that he had a lean mass of 207 pounds of muscle and 58.7 pounds of fat — which equates to a body fat percentage of 21%.
According to the Baylor College of Medicine, “a healthy body fat range is 25-31% for women and 18-24% for men” — though it doesn’t take into account age, athletic status and other key factors.
On his podcast, Jason Kelce said the goal is to “lose as much body fat percentage as possible in three months.”
As far as why he entered the competition, Jason Kelce alluded to how boring retirement can be.
