“The new strollers are literally so difficult,” she said. “Why don’t they make it like this anymore?”
Dax Shepard allows his daughters to be rude and disrespectful — and doesn’t care what you think.
The 50-year-old “Parenthood” actor took to his “Armchair Expert” podcast on Nov. 3 to discuss a conversation he and his wife, Kristen Bell, had with their two best friends at a restaurant.
And it involved their best friends questioning their controversial parenting style.
“She said it very kindly, but she's basically like, they're kind of shook with how our daughters will talk back to us or to anybody because it's very un-Southern, right?” Shepard told guest Reese Witherspoon.
“Down there, everyone’s like, “Hi, Ms. Kristen. Hi Mr. Dax,’” he added.
While he admitted that there’s something he appreciates about how respectful most kids are in the South, he also admitted that he’s 100% okay with his daughters exhibiting a lack of respect.
And his best friends took notice.
“And she's like, yeah, your kids will let it rip. They seem to have no kind of respect is what she was saying. And feeling a little entitled,” Shepard said of his friends’ opinion.

Shepard agreed with his friends — and explained why his daughters are like that.
“They do talk back and they are not respectful,” he said on the podcast. “I can understand where that seems completely unruly, but I want you to know what I'm prioritizing.”
“When they're 19 and their boss is a f------ creep, I want them to talk back,” he continued. “I want them to be disrespectful. I want them to always advocate for themselves, whether I think they're right or wrong.”
Dax Shepard doesn't care if others find his kids embarrassing
Shepard went on to say that his friends found his kids’ behavior embarrassing. But he’s okay with that.
“I can handle that because I want this other thing for them as women,” he added.
Shepard and Bell, who have been married since 2013, share two daughters — Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10 — according to People.
This isn’t the first time the couple have gone viral for their parenting style.
While they previously taught their daughters that curse words were a big no-no, they also admitted that they frequently (and sometimes on accident) swear in front of their kids.
In a July episode of “Armchair Expert,” Shepard shared that their views on curse words have changed.

"They are allowed to swear, not with impunity,” he said at the time. “But when it’s called for, and they land it, and it’s in the house and not out at a restaurant, it’s OK.”
