New details are emerging as Post Malone’s custody battle heats up.
The 29-year-old “Congratulations” artist shares a soon-to-be 3-year-old daughter with his ex-fiancée Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, whose identity has only recently gone public.
The former couple got engaged in Las Vegas in 2021 before welcoming their daughter — whose name appears as DDP in court docs, per The Independent — the following year in 2022.

Malone has gone to great lengths keeping his relationship — as well as his daughter — out of the public eye, but his efforts have been overshadowed by an ongoing custody battle.
According to TMZ, Park filed custody documents in the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 16.
In the filing, Park allegedly requested sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their daughter. She also requested that legal fees be covered by Malone and that the singer only be granted visitation rights.
TMZ has since learned that Park’s filing came two days after Malone filed his own custody documents in Utah on April 14 — though it’s unclear what Malone is asking for.
Malone reportedly filed in Utah because “that's where he had been splitting 50/50 custody” of his daughter, per TMZ.
And since Malone’s documents were filed first, the custody battle between him and Park is expected to take place in Utah.
Not much else is known about the custody battle as the filing is currently under seal, per TMZ.
Malone has opened up about his decision to keep personal life private
In an August 2023 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Malone opened up about his proposal to Park for the first time.
As Malone explained, the then-couple were in Las Vegas when he lost a “significant amount of money” gambling at a table. He then asked Park if she wanted to marry him, but she declined.
Park did, however, ask Malone — who was intoxicated at the time — to try again tomorrow.
“I was like, 'Alright.' And then I did and I was sober and it was nice,” he told podcast host Alex Cooper.
During an interview with CR Fashion Book the following month, Malone defended his decision to keep his personal life private — including not releasing the name of his daughter.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby,” he told the outlet.
“Because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he added.
“We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuance of being with the person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
Despite the privacy, Malone openly loves his daughter and doesn’t mind spending money on her.
While talking to Cooper in 2023, Malone was asked what his best skill was as a dad, to which he replied, “Having money,” per She Knows.
“As of right now, it’s good for the baby and good for the mom, and I think that’s about the only skill I have, really,” he explained — joking that his daughter’s first word will be his credit card number.
