Cardi B went above and beyond to preserve (and commemorate) her baby boy’s arrival.
The 33-year-old rapper and mom of four had her newborn’s umbilical cord dehydrated in the shape of a heart and dipped in gold chrome to create a special and unique pendant that she can keep forever.
The umbilical cord keepsake was created by Mommy Made Encapsulation — a company founded, owned and operated by Juliane Corona in Bakersfield, California.
Corona detailed the making of the keepsake in an Instagram video posted on Nov. 17.

“Where her journey started… turned into a keepsake she’ll treasure forever,” she wrote in the caption, describing the umbilical cord as the “very first connection between a mother and her baby.”
“Creating this keepsake is always such an honor, but doing it for Cardi and her sweet baby again means the world to us,” she continued.
In a separate video, Corona thanked Cardi B “for trusting me again with your magical placenta magic.”
In addition to the umbilical cord keepsake, Mommy Made Encapsulation also offers a service that involves painting the mother’s placenta with food grade coloring before being stamped onto a 12’ x 18’ poster.
The “Placenta Print” is designed to look like “the tree of life,” with the umbilical cord resembling the stump.
Corona also offers a placenta encapsulation service, which involves processing a new mother's placenta into capsule form for consumption during the postpartum period.
A Nov. 20 Instagram video shows that Cardi B opted for both the “Placenta Print” and encapsulation.
"Our team was honored to be trusted with such a meaningful part of her birth experience," Corona said in an interview with People, published Nov. 24.
"Our goal is to help mothers improve their postpartum recovery and to help families preserve a special part of their postpartum journey through safe and professional placenta service,” she added.
Cardi B has enlisted Mommy Made Encapsulation before
In her Nov. 15 Instagram video, Corona mentioned that this was her second time creating keepsakes for Cardi B’s baby.
She first posted about her teaming up with Cardi B on Oct. 15, 2024 — one month after Cardi B welcomed her third child and second daughter, Blossom Belle, on Sept. 7, 2024.
“Wishing THE QUEEN Cardi B, the happiest and healthiest postpartum recovery,” Corona wrote in the caption of her video.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper shares three kids — Kulture Kiari, 7, Wave Set, 3, and Blossom Belle, 11 months — with her ex-husband and fellow rapper Offset, according to People.
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs welcomed their first child together — a baby boy — on Nov. 4.
