There’s so much fun to be had on (and leading up to) Thanksgiving Day. Here are some ideas!
Jennifer Lopez has a lot going on right now — and her twins are no different.
The 56-year-old mom of two has been on a press tour for her new musical thriller, “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” which kicked off with a red carpet premiere in New York City on Oct. 6, per People.
But that wasn’t the only thing on her schedule for Monday.
The “Waiting for Tonight” singer not only appeared on “Live with Kelly and Mark” — but she’s also in the middle of touring colleges with her 17-year-old twins, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Lopez opened up about the mixed reactions she feels about becoming an empty nester later this year.
“I mean, it’s crazy,” she told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. “It’s happening. They’re leaving, they’re going, and it’s crazy.”
Lopez went on to say that she’s happy as her twins prepare for the next chapter of their life, but is also worried about what that means for her as she begins her empty nest era.
"I’m happy because I feel like, I remember how exciting that time in my life was like, ‘Oh, I’m figuring out what I want to do with my life,'" she explained. "And it’s an exciting adventure, I want that for them.”

“But I also think like, ‘Oh! I’m going to be by myself,'" she added.
Lopez joked that she has an “inkling” she might enjoy the time alone, but is also focused on maintaining a home that her twins will “want to come back to” when they feel a little homesick.
“That was the goal for me since they were born," she said.
"Whatever we create, the three of us together, it’s going to be something that they always are like, ‘When I go home, it feels good. It smells like home, it tastes like home.’ All of it,’” she continued.
Jennifer Lopez says her twins have grown a lot through the years
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were married for 10 years before divorcing in 2014, per Today.com.
The couple became parents with the birth of their twins — Maximilian "Max" David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz — who celebrated their 17th birthday on Feb. 22 and turn 18 in just four months.
Lopez has been open in the past about how difficult it was once her twins became teenagers.
“The teenage years are tough. They start challenging you,” she said in a 2023 interview with Ripa and Consuelos.
“You have this baby for a while and then it’s like your best little friend who loves being with you all the time and all of a sudden they’re like, ‘Get out of my room,’” she added.

Ripa and Consuelos joked that they would eventually come back once they hit 20 — but it appears Lopez got an early gift with her twins.
When Lopez returned for another interview in 2024, she said she had a “rough couple of years” but was “coming out a little bit of what we talked about last time.”
“There was a rough, like, year or two and I was like, ‘Wow, this hurts,’” she explained. “I’m hoping it doesn’t slip back.”
In her most recent interview with the couple, Lopez said she’s officially “in a better phase” with her kids.
“A few years ago it was brutal. I was like, ‘Dude, I mean, we were friends. What happened?’” she said on Oct. 6.
“But now they are 17 going on — they’ll be 18 in February. They’re graduating this June,” she continued. “And I feel like, you know, we’re close. We’re a close-knit three now.”
“A lot has happened with us,” she added. “We had to bond together, you know what I mean? And so that kind of changes things and made it really beautiful for us.”
On Feb. 22, Lopez took to Instagram to wish her twins a happy birthday as they turned 17.
