Stellan Skarsgård leaned into self-deprecating humor while accepting the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture for Sentimental Value at the 2026 ceremony.
Josh Allen knew what he was saying two months ago — even though no one else did.
The 29-year-old quarterback and reigning MVP opened up about what his status as a soon-to-be dad means to him in an interview with the Associated Press, published Dec. 17.
In it, he admitted that he was well aware of his wife’s pregnancy during a “Monday Night Football” interview in mid-October.
At the time, Allen was asked what his relationship with (and marriage to) Hailee Steinfeld has taught him.

"That I am more than a football player,” he told Marty Smith. "My whole dream as a kid has been to be in this position and I've never thought of anything outside of that or beyond that."
“Hopefully I get to still play this game for a very long time. And that’s ultimately my goal is to play as long as I physically can, but there is life after it as well,” he added.
Many fans were concerned about his loyalty to the game after hearing that remark.
Now that his fans know what he knew all along, the remark had nothing to do with football — and everything to do with being a soon-to-be first-time father.
He told the Associated Press that “learning of his wife’s pregnancy factored into his response.”
As for how he feels about this new chapter in his life: “Overjoyed, absolutely overjoyed,” he told the AP.
“Yeah, I guess it’s like the evolution of life. I consider this place my home,” he said of Buffalo, New York. “It’s where I’ve done a lot of growing up. And it’s a place that I’ll raise a family. It’s really cool.”
Josh Allen’s teammate and coach speak highly of their MVP

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld were first linked in May 2023, according to Us Weekly.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram one week after Allen got down on one knee on Nov. 22 and made their red carpet debut in February at the 2025 NFL Honors.
They tied the knot on March 31 before announcing their pregnancy on Dec. 12.

Allen’s teammates and coach have always had good things to say about their quarterback.
While talking to the Associated Press, Bills’ coach Sean McDermott couldn’t talk about the football player he has developed into without mentioning the “human side” to his greatness.
“The human side to Josh Allen is, I also believe, what endears him in addition to his play to this community and around the world because he’s real,” McDermott said.
“It’s refreshing to see just a real authentic person that also is the face of the franchise,” he added.
Bills’ offensive lineman David Edwards, whose job it is to protect Allen at all costs, described his quarterback (and his wife) as “great people” and “guys you love to be around.”
“One of his super powers, of which there are many, is his ability to turn it on and off. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” Edwards said of Allen.

“One of his many great traits is being able to separate being on and off, keeping private and public life separate. There’s so many admirable things about him. That’s why he’s the man,” he added.
