Stellan Skarsgård leaned into self-deprecating humor while accepting the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture for Sentimental Value at the 2026 ceremony.
Kimora Lee Simmons didn’t mince her words when talking about her daughter’s dating history.
The 50-year-old former model and fashion designer appeared on the Dec. 9 episode of Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast when she was asked about her daughter’s dating life.
More specifically, Hirsch asked about the time Kimora’s then-21-year-old daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, dated then-65-year-old restaurateur Vittorio Assaf.
And Kimora didn’t hold back.

“I let my kids make their own mistakes, like I said. That’s the whole thing we were saying about living out your life in public, and I think that’s very, very, very tough," Kimora said on the podcast.
"I don’t even think that was a moment for them, though. Or I should say the opposite. I think it was just that — a moment. I don’t think it was anything else,” she added.
Aoki Lee Simmons and Vittorio Assaf were rumored to be “spending time together and enjoying each others’ company” in early April 2024, according to People.
The fling didn’t last long and the short-lived couple reportedly went their separate ways four days later.
“It went from 0 to 100 really quick, and I was like, ‘Aoki, I didn’t even know this was a thing.’ I found out when the world found out," Kimora told Hirsch of the relationship.
"So that was what was so shocking,” she added. “...You can’t give the, ‘I told you so,’ right now. You can’t give the, ‘What the hell are you doing’ right now. You can’t give those things right now.”
Kimora went on to describe the “big age gap relationship” as “a lot” for her to accept.
“Let’s just call it that,” she continued. “I do think it’s predatorial. We said all of that to get to what Kimora thinks about it. I think that’s predatorial and kinda crazy.”

While talking about her daughter’s dating history, Kimora couldn’t help but think back to some of the mistakes she made herself earlier in her career.
At one point, she alluded to “having gone through not exactly the same but similar.”
Kimora was just 17 years old when she met her ex-husband Russell Simmons, per Business Insider.

The former couple started dating shortly after and tied the knot in 1998 before welcoming two daughters — Ming Lee, born in 2000, and Aoki Lee, born in 2002 — according to People.
Kimora also shares son Kenzo, 16, with actor Djimon Hounsou, son Gary, 16, via adoption and son Wolfe, 10, with banker Tim Leissner.
Some fans online were quick to point out the hypocrisy behind Kimora’s comments about her daughter.
“Kimora dated older men before her daughter was born. Where do you think she gets it from?” one Redditor wrote online.
“WOW! Kind of defines IRONY, huh?” another Redditor commented.
Despite what some fans might think, Kimora said she did her best to refrain from saying certain things to Aoki about the relationship.

“It blew up to be so much, so then you can’t be the mom that’s like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ But that definitely was the thing,” she told Hirsch on the podcast.
